Morning all. Sober for 266 days and so proud of me.
Pat sorry you had such a horrific time at ER and just not feeling good.
I got up early and then CRASHED back to bed. Yoda & hubby on a walk. Beautiful here today, but expecting Tstorms this PM....Florida summer weather.Wishing I could get up the courage to find and start and finish a whatever for new baby coming in October. Ashamed that I am sitting on fence about making something, I knit, sew, crochet and do really good work, but can't get started. Not doing anything about SS and bank acc either. Stuck with fighting I guess.
Hope you all are well and keeping cool. Hugs, Monica

Morning OFF friends.....late getting on the computer this morning...too many other things that needed to be done first.

Have capris on today to go to the Dr.....been wearing little cotton shifts since surgery -- so comfy and I'm not going outside so who cares!

Made some good progress on the baby bib yesterday.  Also got up enough energy to put some taco chicken in the slow cooker....turned out great and I will be eating on that most of the week!  Was even able to get everything washed up and the kitchen cleaned.

Seems cooler here this morning,  temps to get to mid 80's.  We had a really good rain Saturday.  My lawn hasn't been mowed for 2 wks, so may need it this Friday.

Never did get any company yesterday -- finally called my son and asked him what he was doing -- he'd been busy with church, then got called into town in the afternoon to unlock a car.   Started to feel sorry for myself -- then decided I'd better suck it up and be grateful for what I have!!!

I could tell you horror stories about ER visits -- won't go there.  Hope you are doing better today Trish!.

Hugs,
Pat R.

Hi Shirley and my OFF family:

Shirley, glad you decided to join us. It's hot here in La. too, 82, feels like 92, but it rained buckets last night that we really needed. It was so good to see it come down.

I know what you mean about feeling old. I'm 56, my mind feels like 30 sometimes but the body feels like 86.

Trish, sorry you were poorly treated at the ER.

I have an appointment at the pain clinic for my vicodin refill. Don't really need anymore, but that's their policy. I have to pay a $50 copay to get it ... kind of a racket. Then I have a phone interview this afternoon with a newspaper in Naples, Fla. It's nice to be wanted. Don't know how this will go.

I never did get anything cooked yesterday. Warmed up leftovers. I wasn't feeling good. Got three loads of laundry done, though. Back to work tonight for two days, then three days off. Yippee!

Well, have a good day.

Yay, you keep plugging and sooner or later the right job will be yours!!!

Well, you know I'm a grinder. I guess it went OK. We'll see. Wish my brother would have some nibbles.

Good morning, Shirley G., and all my OFF sistas!

Trish--just want to say that our ER system is a disgrace.  Never have had a good experience at one ever!  It's NOT like they show on Gray's Anatomy with the doctors actually waiting in the parking lot to meet the ambulances!  Talk about fiction!

Anyway, I'm glad you are okay this morning.  Good luck with your phone calls.

So back home again this morning.  The trip home went well.  I stopped and bought an audio book to listen to on the way home which made the trip go much faster--well, figuratively, at least!  It still took 6 hours, but my mind was occupied the whole way.

Felt good to wake up in my bed this morning, but I had wild and crazy dreams all night long.  Woke up this morning with the theme song from The Courtship of Eddie's Father playing in my head!  "People let me tell you 'bout my best friend . . . "  It's still there bugging me.  I figured I should pass it along to you guys!  Maybe it will leave me!  LOL!

This week I plan to do a lot of sewing.  I'm going to try making some clothes for myself.  Haven't sewn for myself in years, so I don't know how it will all turn out.  I used to could make clothes that fit me (remember, I'm very tall) and looked good on me.  We'll see how it goes.  I also have plans to make curtains for the lakehouse before I go back in September.  But the clothes are first in line.  I have a bridal shower to attend next Saturday, and then that blasted outdoor wedding the first weekend in August.  I'm making a sleeveless dress and a sleeveless jumpsuit.  Whichever one turns out best, I'll wear it to the wedding and the other one to the shower.

(People will just have to deal with my fat arms.  I usually don't wear sleeveless, but hey, it's over 100 frickin' degrees here everyday.  Comfort rules!)

Well, better get moving.  Lots to do today, including a run into town for groceries and such.

Love you all!

 Vickie
