Sweaty Sunday, What's Up?

Good Morning OFFers.

I don't know about anyone else, but I am going through laundry like a mad woman, because I get soaking wet with sweat every time I walk Utley.  It is pitiful.

Had a great Saturday working on my recovery.  Went to OA and AA meetings.  Spoke at the AA meeting.

Sunday has me attempting church.  Made a commitment to take a friend with me, so I have to get there tomorrow.  Afterward, I am heading to the grocery store to pick up a few items.  I am going to take some stuff to my sis-in-law's house to help her out, as the newlyweds are traveling in from New York State, via Dulles Airport.

I also mus****ch the Phillies game.  Saturday's game was terrific, with four homeruns bringing 8 runs home.  Chase Utley hit two of them.

In the evening, I will haul butt to another AA meeting.  I am on a roll.

Have a great day.

Hugs,
Trish

Hi Trish and all that follows,

I just just thinking about how many spelling errors I make when posting. I'd never make it without the spell check. And even then things slide by. I know this will sound silly. It is just the thought of a silly, bored lady. What if we chose a day where none of us use the spell check? Wouldn't it be fun to try to figure out what the poster meant to type? I know, silly me.

The laundry has piled up on me. That's one of the things I was going to start today. The best laid plans and all that.

Time for bed. I will see how it goes tonight. Last night I had a dream where I ate a big meal like I did pre-op. Thank you Lord, it was only a dream. Take care of yourselves and each other.    Hugs   Mag

Good morning Trish and all to follow:
I am doing well -- sleeping pretty good at night and trying not to nap during the day.  Sorry to say I am getting bored already .... no company yesterday other than lady next door bringing back some laundry she had done for me, and the mail...  I did get the baby bibs and have selected patterns -- the boy one will be a Noah's Ark -- so cute.  Will try to start that today.

Go back to the Dr. tomorrow - a friend is taking me... I am getting around the house quite well with my rolling walker.  The fever is finally gone and the redness from my cheeks too..... No pain at all -- thankful!

Time to get these toes elevated -- been up for almost 2 hours with them hanging down!

Celebrate your day,
Pat R.

Pat,
So glad your recovery is going so well. I love my rolling walker. (especially the brakes.) I sympathize with you on the getting bored part. I don't like to be home bound. It seems like a prison to me.   Take care of yourself.   Mag

Morning all, sober 265 days and so proud of me.
Getting ready for Mass..Yoda on a walk with hubby. House all cleaned up and shinning. So we are getting the swing of Fl summer....clear and beauitiful in morning and early afternoon and then the Tstorms roll in. OK with that.
I am still amazed how many people can't put down their phones even at the pool. They are there with their kids and still they are focused on the phones.
Sending hugs to all, I know I will check in later, trying hard to do more each day and not be online so much, almost as bad as people and phones....

Monica.....yes, I agree the phone thing is getting way out of hand. People take their kids places for fun and then never interact with them anyway....it is frustrating!!

Hugs and love....connie d

Good mornin' ya'll.
I am at my sister's in NY. I am worried about her. She was in and out of the hosp awhile back with A Fib. That is now ubder control, but she also has COPD and asthma. She needs a new knee and 2 new hips. The doc won't do anything till she loses 40 pounds. No way will she do that. First of all, she hurts too bad to even move. I took her to get her hair done yesterday and then we went to lunch, then home. She could hardly breath. She's saying it is the heat. BUT, she gasps for air just at the house and she has the AC at 67.
Momma was feeling 'healthy as a horse', until they found a shadow on her lung that turned into small cell cancer and she was dead within 3 weeks.
I am probably just being overly concerned! But other than that, I am having a great time. We are visiting, I am crochetting, she is reading her Kindle. There are a couple of places she wants to go this week. She doesn't drive and her DH works 45 min away, so things she wants to do during the week, get put on the back burner til he takes a day off.
I was very happy to see that my bank says I have a pending deposit on Wed. So apparently our SSI check is still coming. Hooray!
Everyone have a fantabulous day.
