Early Monday Morning
I have a busy day planned. lab work needs to be done. Need to go to the bank to fill out some papers. See Steve at lunch. Grocery shop. Etc, Etc, Etc.
My favorite Mexican restaurant changed ownership, Ellen went there yesterday. She said the food was terrible. I'm so sad. It was so good. There are 2 more Mexican places in our little town. One has moved into a new building. The noise level is unbelievable. It's hard to hear myself think. The other is an older small building. Nice atmosphere, but seating is very limited.
Well, off and running. Everyone have a great day. Mag
Good morning, Mag, and all OFF sistas!
Oh, I'm getting a very late start today. Didn't get to bed until midnight, took a PM, and slept until 9 a.m. Really could have slept another hour, too! But this morning I have to go to the courthouse in New Braunfels and do a title search. We're buying another lake lot down here to give us a bit more room at Hilltop. Assuming the title search is clear, I'll be closing the deal this week sometime.
We had fun last night at Christie's birthday. We went to the Rainforest Cafe on the Riverwalk. Never been to one before. I think it's a bit overpriced, but they have to pay for those animatronics somehow. Still it was fun, and Benny was the best boy. I took pics, but no time to put them up on FB this morning. I'll try to get to them soon.
Gotta run! I'll try to drop back by for another chat later today.
Love you all!
Got an interesting phone call this morning (of course, it woke me up and I ignored the phone and went back to sleep). But when I got up at 11 a.m., I didn't recognize the number or name, and there was a voicemail ... it's about a job ... in Chicago. So Wednesday, I have a phone interview with this company that does investment research. It's a copy editor position. Not that I really want to move back to the cold and snow, but it would be nice to be near to my family again. So we shall see.
I got this new thing someone sent me call SocialBox ... it's an IM thing ... you can chat or videochat. I think it's associated with Skype. If you get an invitation from me, it's not a hoax or a hacker.
Well, back to work tonight. I thought I was off Wednesday and Friday this week, but it's Friday and Sunday ... I'll have worked nine days straight by Friday ...ugh.
Have a good day.
Hope you are all doing well and enjoying your Monday.
I took Grace to meet her mom at 10:00AM for Grace's eye appointment. She has been boarder-line needing glasses. Her eyes are still the same. The doctor said if they gave Grace glasses now there wouldn't be enough of a correction to make any difference. She did have a lazy eye and that seems to be working it's self out. We shopped for a bit and then went to lunch together. Now I am doing laundry. There are only 3 loads and they aren't very big. We love summer...everyone wears so much less and makes the loads lighter.
I had a hard time sleeping last night so I know I will be going to bed early tonight. I love this hot weather but the humidity is almost unbearable. Thank goodness for A/C in the house and cars!!
Prayers for many in need.
Love and hugs to all......connie d
Happy, feel guilty I got something for ME, but getting over it.
Hubby is thrilled I did this. I know I bit** @ him, but he does love it when I get myself something...he usually is the one who loves to shop for me.
I am feeling really stupid right now. I got a new laptop on Thursday, and did not find part of the power cord in the package, so I went to Best Buy and bought a universal power cord, which stopped working when I was in Maryland. Tonight, as I started tidying up my living room, I picked up a small box that had been in the packaging with the laptop, and noticed it seemed heavier than it should be, and there was the other part of the power cord. Argh!
Good news is, I can finally use my new laptop.
Today, I had the opportunity to work, but had too much to do to go out to the hospital and not have my chores started. I also had to go to a bank and take care of some stuff for my son, and it is not a bank that is near me.
This evening has me heading to an early AA meeting and then home to watch the Phillies game. They are playing the Chicago Cubs, so it starts a little later for me.
My Munchkins are home in Michigan now, and I miss them terribly already.
I am proud of myself for how I handled myself at the wedding and reception. My ex and his wife were there, and my daughter had already seated her family in front of them at the church, so I sat with them and my son for the service. Then, at the reception, we all sat together at the same table. It was a toss-up between my ex and my kids or my Mom and my Sister. We had a good time. I tasted one bite of the wedding cake, which was decadent. It was some sort of Boston Cream deal, and it was scrumptuous. I then pushe the plate away.
Have a great rest of Monday.
Hugs

I already returned it, and told them it did not work, which was true. My computer is working great with the cord I got with it.
