Good Saturday morning, y'all.

It's 1:25 a.m. here in NE Louisiana, and 80 degrees, feels like 87. 91 percent humidity ... that's right, you read that right, 91 percent humidity. When I got home at 11 p.m., I felt like I was walking out in a sauna. It was just steamy. Remember the scene in "To Kill A Mockingbird" in the courtroom, where everyone is fanning themselves and everyone's skin just glistens with sweat? That's what it feels like, even at night. Yuck.

Last night was an easy night, but today is going to be busy because I have two sports sections, probably a total of eight pages, to do. I plan to get in a little earlier so I can be sure to get done in time.

Not much else is new; what's going on with you? I'm looking forward to seeing Vickie's red hair.

Chat away. I'm going to bed soon.

Hi Eileen
I must admit I was asleep at 1am this morning.  Still trying to catch-up from the challenges of last week, and had nightmares all night. I need to find something fun to do today!

I'm also pondering the future -in March, I decided to leave my job later this year, as all the pressure has led to bad health habits (and associated health issues).  I have posted for some other jobs at the same company, and was rejected for all.  So I'll be retiring in the next few months.  I made plans to do a final fling, and take a vacation with my DH to New Zealand in January, but after that, who knows!  Eventually, when DH retires, we'd like to move to Montana - either Missoula or Bozeman, but that's still some time from now, as it is awfully nice for him to keep a salary for the time being!!

I hope everyone has a great weekend, bu****ch out for all the heat that will be covering the nation all week.

Our son Angus, age 27 & single, just moved to Bozeman in June. He loves it there. Fantastic fishing, his passion, meeting wonderful people, great job at local co-op...he is a master meat cutter. MT still hasn't reached 1million in population. Expecting to reach the ## by later this year. We just got our copy of Bozeman Community Life, requested online. Lots of great info. Enjoy the days to come, take it slow....when we decided 8 yrs ago to sell house and finally get RV (been planning that for years), we really had to organize and clean stuff out. INTERESTING PROCESS. Keep in touch.

I lived in Anaconda, MT, for five years from 1984-89, and loved it. Small town, but I'd live in Montana again. Loved the Helena area, actually. Missoula is nice, but in winter, the area gets smog. But Missoula has the charm of a small town and the conveniences of a big city (college town).

Good morning everyone! I am doing final house cleanup in FL and then off to the airport today. It will be good to see the Pennsylvania side of life once again! Truth is, I can manage quite well on my own when Mike is at home up there (and working long hours anyway) - but I miss my dog!!!! She will be SO excited!

So today sees me in travel mode.

Wishing you all a day of peace and contentment in whatever you do!

Good mornin' ya'll.
Well, I pretty much went crazy yesterday. Anyone who knows me, knows I HATE to shop. Especially in and out of the car to a bunch of different places. But yesterday?.......Well.
I decided I wanted a new something to wear when I see Marcy and Annette next week, plus I needed a couple of things I can only get at Lejuene Commissary, so off I went at 9:30. I went to the Commissary and the Exchange. Got one of the things I wanted, not another. Then to Rainbow something-or-other (used to be Fashion Bug). I could not find a thing I liked!! To the mall to Bath and Body Works to use my BOGO coupon. Went by Master Cuts and the hairdresser was standing out front , so I went in for a trim, which turned into a full blown haircut which I love! Then to Sam's for bottled water and gas. Walmart for a few things, including new shorts and top. Lunch at Red Robin (appetizer of riblets and sweet potato fries), and finally a pedicure! I was gone til 4:30!!!
Our son called at 10:30 to say he was stopping by our house for a salad, which he does nearly every week day. I told him I was on base, help himself. I didn't tell him I would be gone most of the day. Our DIL joined him for lunch and to watch "Lincoln Lawyer" at our house, expecting I would be home to join them. They left before I got back. My DH is in NE visiting his brother and my DIL told our son not to call and bother me, I probably needed some "me" time.
Bless her!
Today, back to my afghan. Tomorrow, 10 of us are going to see the new Harry Potter movie! The movies are never as good as the books though.
I hope ya'll have a fantabulous weekend!

Wow, how is it that you and I seem to frequent the same places but never bump into each other. With the exception of Red Robin and the pedicure, those are my "haunts" also. We usually start at Carebridge, then Wal-mart, Sam's, and the commissary on the way home. I used to go to Fashion Bug a lot, but don't want to buy anything new until I have lost a significant amount. I'm not going into Rainbow...until I see and feel the difference...don't want to be tempted at this time. Our routine was getting a little stale, so I decided to added Crystal Bluffs in Morehead City to my weekly route. Mom was moved there for nursing care and physical therapy...let the games begin!

Some day, some where, we will meet! Until then, I'll smile and say hello to everybody...lol

Have a wonderful day!
Kristi
