Check it out! My article featured on OH home page!
Well what a surprise!
I've had 2 articles published in OH magazine - one is in the current issue. And today I noticed that it is also featured on the OH home page! Check it out - go to www.obesityhelp.com and click through the featured articles until you see "Looking Good: Wardrobe Basics During and After Weight Loss."
That's me!

Good for you! Although I disagree with the "the color for morbidly obese is black" ... never was for me ... I always wore lots of color and I liked my Quacker Factory (a line from QVC) clothes ... lots of sparkly things. I like happy clothes, even when I was SMO. Hasn't changed. Or jeans and t-shirts. Hasn't changed. I'm not a fancy dresser and I work at a job that doesn't require me to dress up a lot, so I can be as dressy or as casual as I want. In fact, I probably dress up more than anyone else in that place.
But it was a good article.
But it was a good article.
Lynn,
I enjoyed your article very much! Actually, it's been featured on the OH home page for several weeks now. I read it a few weeks ago, but didn't make the connection that the author was you!
I'm right at the stage you described of wearing some of the "old" clothes in my closet now. I had a bunch of size 18's and I've just now discovered I can wear them again. Fortunately they are mostly summer clothes, and those styles tend to stay in fashion for a long time. How much can capris and tees change, you know?
I did buy some new underwear a couple of weeks ago, but I desperately need to tackle the new bra issue. You had some good advice. I've never asked for a fitting before. I might have to pull up my big girl panties and do that! LOL!
Thanks for letting us know it was YOU on the home page!

Just fo to www.obesity help.com. you will see a box with some feature topics. One is about lap band, one is about twins who had surgery, one is on dealing with change, and the other one there is mine. It is the main section of the home page and you can move through these stories just as you can on the yahoo home page, for example. Click on the illustration that goes with the story and the article will come up!
