Tuesday Musings!
Good Morning Nancy, OFFr's,
I so love reading about your many involvements, I laughed at your husband's reaction to you cutting your hair short, last year when I decided to let my natural hair color come in, due to allergies to the dye, I needed to cut my hair and was worried about how my guy would react, told him what I was thinking and he told me to do what I thought was best, when I came home with the haircut, he stared at me and I was like, oh no, he doesn't like it (even though I did (lol)), but he said, well it certainly is a different look, but you know I like it, my grown children, on the other hand, well they are still adjusting to the new me. . . and I'm with you on the pilot's license thing, I'd be nervous too. . . my son will never be getting a pilots license I can tell you, he hates flying, which is pretty amazing considering where he went on honeymoon and then when he moved to Europe for those two years, having come back and forth a number of times, plus, some of the travel they did was via air while they were over there. . . enjoy your mini. . .
I am home from my mini vacation, got in an hour and some later than originally scheduled and when you are taking a late flight home, that is not a good thing, was greeted by my sweet Roxie girl and of course she was sooo happy to see me, so by the time I went to bed it was about 1 a.m. and had to get up at 6 for work, aah reality, such a wonderful thing. . .it will probably be a very quiet week here and thankfully short to boot, today I will go to a noon AA meeting and then home for a quiet evening, as I am tired and need to rest so I can get up early tomorrow and back to the gym. . .
Wishing you all a wonderful day and the peace and strength you need to get through the rough spots of living.

Busy day for me.....laundry to catch up on after the long weekend....library books to return for Grace....errands to run.... and on and on.
Last night Jamie, Grace and I went to the fireworks. We borrowed Nic's pickup truck. Now you have to understand this is an 18 year old guy's truck. It is LOUD, awesome tires and a 12 foot antenna....a real redneck ride!!!! We were laughing our heads off driving around in that obnoxious thing. We found a spot to see the fireworks. We had sleeping bags piled in the bed of the truck...pillows a cooler and of course popcorn. We piled out of the truck....climbed into the back....had the greatest view. We laughed constantly. It was so much fun!!
Wishing you all a good day. Prayers as always for those in need.
Love and hugs to all.....connie d
Geez, Nancy, after reading your post, I want to go back to bed! You're so driven, so busy. Good for you. Me, I can't get up the energy to clean the kitchen.
We had a little rain last night, and expect some more today, which is a good ting. It's cooled off substantially, down to 82 right now, but is supposed to get up higher later. No wonder I woke up in pain this morning.
Work again tonight, then off tomorrow. Kind of out of it today; must be the weather. Don't really have much energy. Anyway, I need to get in the shower and get some lunch. I'll check back later.
Wow, It seems that almost everyone is very, very busy today. I would list you by name and make comments but without my Ritalin I have trouble remember who I am at times. LOL I slept for 7 hours last night. It was truly wonderful.
It rained here the night of the 3rd and yesterday so no grilling outdoors. We stood under the porch and watched the storm roll through. The temperature dropped from over 100 to 80 degrees in about an hour. We love our rainy season. The storms can be very dangerous. They usually hit in the afternoon or early evening. The desert has a unique smell that comes in before the rain. I love that smell.
Well, I've rattled on enough. Everyone have the best day possible. Mag

I don't know what's going to happen if Sharon cancels her Internet. We don't want to lose track of her.
Michael and his family are in Wisconsin for a week. It's his birthday today. I never forget because he was born 7-5-75. They are in "cabins" on Chief Lake. That's near Hayward, WI. I usually go but just don't have the money to spend on flight and cabin rent. Not always good reception up there. I tried to call to wish him a happy B-day, but it went right to voice mail. They will be back next Saturday (late) so I'll talk with him on Sunday. I'll let you know as soon as possible. Mag
Post Script: Well, I mowed for 3 hours and that's about all I can stand for today. But I certainly got a good workout! When I mow the big pastures, I mow on the big Ford tractor. The steering wheel is about 2 ft in diameter, so my arms get a really good workout! As for the rest of me, it's sort of like being in one of those jiggle belt machines from the 1960's. I shake, rattle and roll my way around and around the pastures! I guess it works--I just got on the scale and I dropped 2 lbs from this morning's weight!!!
I'm going for a cool shower, and then if I can muster the energy, I'm headed into town for some groceries. Something ate all the cat food off the back porch last night, so I have to go get my kitties something to eat. Either that, or feed them canned tuna tonight.
Oh, and I got started on FitDay.com. LOVE IT! Why haven't I been doing this all along? Sometimes I'm a little slow, ya know? Takes me awhile to get with the program. Don't know where I would be without all of you to guide me!
