What The Heck Can i Be Doing Wrong??? i exercise every single day too! me and my husband walk about 1 to 1 1/2 miles everyday after work AND i also work out with my Leslie Sansone "Walk Away The Pounds" DVD too! (GREAT Cardio!) maybe its because im one of those Boring Eaters? i usually eat the same thing every single day... i have Fage for Breakfast - Chili Beans for Lunch - and usually always Chicken & Veggies for Dinner/maybe a Protein Shake if im too tired to eat... and i always have 2 Snacks daily too... maybe String Cheese or 1 oz of Almonds... Morning, I feel your frustrations. So mix things up, change your diet and increase the PROTEIN alot and with different sources. Shrimp, more chix, pork. Add more good carbs. Explore FitDay to help you track your intake or a website like that. Use a measuring tape instead of a scale. Drink more water and pee more. Try and get away from the protein shakes. Try more little meals. Record the changes, don't make too many at once so you can SEE what helps the most. Remember to be good to yourself.

Exactly what constitutes "chili beans"??? Check the sugar in them.
My suggestions are very similar to Monica's...
1. increase protein, bu****ch sugars in them
2. more water
3. LESS carbs even good ones...you are really only 6 months out...
4. eat protein first fill up on it...then if you have room eat your veggies, fruits and carbs
What kind of carbs are you eating? Should be doing veggies and fruits....whole grain (sparingly)
Hope it helps...
Keep trying!!! You WILL break that stall.
Marcy

Stalls are frustrating but happen to all of us. The tape measure is so much kinder than the scale - I finally threw mine OUT!!
Our dietitian advised to always eat a good carb along with the protein. What does yours suggest?
I too am a b-o-r-i-n-g eater. Here is my routine:
B - cottage cheese, berries with a sprinkle of Kashi Go Lean
L - 4 oz. chicken or ham, green beans & some green lettuce
D - chicken, green beans or broccoli
S - apple dipped in 2 tsp. melted peanut butter
Very few variations. Mostly because I don't like many other foods. Either the smell or the taste bugs me. Once in a while I try something different but am not satisfied.
You are probably not doing anything wrong. Our bodies tend to readjust and need a change. Just make sure the changes are good choices.
Hang in there

Hi Lilee,
We have very similar stats. I started at 275 and hope to get to 155. I had my surgery on Feb 22, 2011. I just this week broke through a 3-week stall, so I understand how frustrating it is to watch the scale stay stuck on the same number for days and days.
I don't have any good advice for you, since I'm a newbie, too. But I can offer you much empathy and sympathy! The way I figure it, our bodies need some time to catch up periodically. I've had 2 stalls now, both lasted 2+weeks. But then I start to lose again. I can't figure out a pattern or a reason why.
Anyway, just keep the faith and try to think about something else! With RNY, we lose weight through a combination of restricted food intake and malabsorption. Other than monitoring what we eat, the process is more or less out of our hands. My surgeon told me that WL would occur no matter what you do for the first 9 months or so. After that, maintenance issues arise, which is a whole 'nother topic.
Good luck! Keep posting and coming back!
