Happy Thursday from not so sunny Florida
Here with my daughter and older grandkids, went to bed at 1:30 and now I'm having coffee and talking, not sure what is on the agenda for the day, but we'll figure something out. . .
Have a great day, sending wishes of peace and strength to those in need.
Hugs, Laureen

I am glad you had a good birthday, and that you get to be with your daughter and grandkids this weekend. Hope the weather in Florida cooperates with your plans.
My daughter and her Munchkins are driving down from Maine today. I can't wait to see those kids. I am busy trying to adjust the snaps on the coveralls I made for Lincoln. His body is very long, and the snaps on the straps made the body of the coveralls too short. Problem is, I did too good a job sewing the snaps on, and now I am having trouble ripping out the stitches I made.
This afternoon, I have a Phillies game to watch. They beat the Red Sox twice, and I am hoping it is a sweep today.
Have a great weekend.
Hugs,

Good Morning Laureen and OFF Friends,
Ah, the Florida beach. You know how I love anywhere close to sal****er. Enjoy, enjoy. . . A walk on the beach, finding a little shelter and a piece of driftwood to sit on, listening to the surf, smelling the air, my favorite things. Tho when I had a couple of hours on the northern Florida coast a few years back there was absolutely NO driftwood. How come?????
I'm not taking my computer on our 12 days away from home. One less thing to worry about. I'll check in before we head to Canada on July 5th with a post wedding post. I still have a lot to do today before we leave tomorrow so I'd best get at it.

Oh, you travelling gals--Laureen and Karen! Y'all have fun on your journeys and be safe.
Today was supposed to be a day on the lake for us and the family of my old college buddy, Pam. But she called last night and her little boy was running a fever. I'm disappointed, but it's just as well. We still have so much work to do on the guest bath.
You all would have laughed your socks off yesterday at the sight of hubby and me trying to put the sheetrock up on the ceiling! It was just two sheets, but never underestimate the WEIGHT of a little piece of sheetrock, especially when it is being held over your head! It's a good thing I'm a tall girl, that's all I can say! If I stand on the top rung of the step ladder, I can just about hold that sheetrock in place with the top of my head! Hurts like a b*tch, but I can do it!
Went to bed last night feeling like I had been beat with an ugly stick, but we're up and moving around pretty good this morning for two old folks. As soon as we get the rest of the sheetrock up all around the walls, and you can actually SEE the new dimensions of the bathroom, I'll take some more pictures.
I wish you all could see the beautiful little 10 point buck standing in my backyard right this minute. The bucks are still in velvet and they're still pretty tame. Got one that will ALMOST come up and eat out of my hand! He's jealous of the does, I think. They get more corn than he does. Got 2-3 little mommies who will come up and eat from my hand now. Our little herd has swelled to 25. Got 9 little bucks and the rest are does. The mommies are letting the babies come up in the yard a little more often now. They sure are growing fast! I can't stand to leave them on Saturday! Who is going to feed them when I'm gone?
Well, my "boss" is glaring at me and making noises about SOME people who spend ALL DAY on the computer! LOL! Guess that means it's time for me to get to work!
Love you all!
AWWW Vickie!!! I am so jealous of you and your herd of deer!!! I was told a couple deer were right on the edge of my friends building yesterday morning!!! The deer are back!!!! He lives one building away from me so i get to see them soon I hope!!!!! I can't believe they are eating out of your hand!!!! OMG that has to be awesome!!!! Just be careful with those bucks!!! They can hurt you!!!!!

My little herd is looking pretty good. Pretty fat and healthy, you know? But I see them all over this area with their ribs showing. It's just so dry here and nothing green is growing for them to eat. I worry that the mommies won't be able to feed their babies if they don't get enough nutrition. But we have to leave on Saturday and it will be a few weeks before I can come back. I hope my neighbors down the block will continue to feed them.
Morning OFF family...sitting here with a whopper of a headache this morning!! Got it last night on the right temple area and now its all across my forehead hurting like crazy!!! I hardly ever get headaches and not sure why I have one now...grrrr!!!
Weather here is beautiful if you like a spring/fall type of day...lol heat is on the way though so I guess that is good! Wen it gets here I will be working in the hot food court...grrrrr Oh well. Pool was closed yesterday because they had to put some chemicals in it because Rick thought he took some poop out!!! I say if the kid isn't potty trained they don't need to be in the pool!!!! HELLO!!!!!!!!!!!!! How ignorant can some parents be????
Am off work today and going to enjoy it best I can with this headache...need to call the vet about Bandit. Seems his eye is a bit red and he was squinting last night and he also needs a booster shot.
Thats about it for my world today...thoughts and prayers going out to those that need them!!

Laureen glad you had a great birthday...enjoy your trip!
My car had a funny noise in the back. My soon to be ex SIL looked at it. He said my
breaks and rotors are in horrible shape and I definitely need new back tires. He can do the repairs so at least I will save on that. How I will pay for the parts has yet to be determined. Tires are costly too. Guess I will have to get a loan from someone....UGH
My granddaughter Kyleigh has been not answering calls or text message from anyone since last Thursday. A lot is going on with her right now. I called the MPLS police again last night. They went to her apartment and couldn't get an answer. They could not just go in without a manager there. Good grief she was so depressed.....she could have overdosed. No one has been able to find her. I finally talked to the right person at the hospital near her apartment. Because she is 19 and considered an adult they couldn't say if she was there or not...confidentiality and all. The lady finally connected me. after I begged!! Well Kyleigh took my advice and checked herself into the hospital. She has been there since Friday. They are helping to get her meds straightened out and her head too. She did sound a bit better today as I finally got to speak with her. She was so happy to hear from me. She can't make calls only receive them. Now I can breathe a little easier about that!! I have been so worried!!
Never a dull moment in my world!! Grace went with a friend and her mom to McDonald's and the park for a play date. I actually have a little while too myself. Decided I needed to check in here first before I do anything else.
I am waiting for my doctor office to call about a prescription that needs to be changed. Then I think I am done with calls for the day!
Wishing you all a wonderful day. Please send up a prayer for me that I can get the money to get my car repaired and that Kyleigh will be okay...thanks!!
Prayers for many in need...special few too.
Love and hugs to all....connie d
