What's Up? It's Sunday Morning
Good Morning Family,
I just walked Utley and it is getting warm out there. I am heading out to work, for three hours of practice in writing up Psychosocial Assessments. Then, I am heading home to change into something comfortable and then walking down to the river to see the Celtic Festival. My town has four ethnic heritage festivals and the first is the Celtic one. Being Irish, I always go and buy shirts for the Munchkins. Last year, they were in town, and I took them. Izzy got a lizard tatto, temporary of course, and tried kettle corn. She also got to go in the Moon Bounce thing. Lincoln was too little to participate then.
After the festival, home to watch the rest of the Phillies game. I hope everyone has a good day.
Hugs,
Trish

Seek always to do some good, somewhere. Every man has to seek in his own way to realize his true worth. You must give some time to your fellow man. For remember, you don't live in a world all your own. Your brothers are here too.

This mornign: coffee, yoga, laundry. This afternoon: kids to the park then to my office, and finally driving the kids down the mountain to their mom's. Later this evening: DH and I will be mowing the yard. I consider lawn mowing part of my exercise program. Since our yard is huge and since we push mow it, I consider it a large calorie burner. My week will be filled, as usual, with reserach, writing, and more research. Later in the week, two of my friends and I are going to do a Mary Tyler Moore marathon. Over the last year, we meet about every few weeks just for the sake of watching from-our-time old series or old movies. Our last one was all of Barbara Strissand movies. We start out early in the afternoon and spend as much time as we can stand watching the old movies or old series and in between each one, we will talk about what we were doing during that particular time, who or if we were dating/married, and the various styles of clothes, hair, ect. I always drag out my size five wooden clogs from the sixties and we laugh and laugh. I think most of the laughing comes from the extreme amount of wine we seem to consume.
These are the same friends that I take ballroom dancing with. So, you can imagine how crazy we are; especially since we have to partner with each other.

What a great idea for a girls' day! My close friends from 'way back have all scattered, but I can just imagine us all sitting around reminiscing and drinking wine. It would have to be Ripple, though, or some of the homemade stuff we used to guzzle. And at this point in my life, that stuff would probably kill me.
But I'd die laughing.....
Thanks for sharing. Brought a smile to my grumpy puss this morning.

Good Morning Trish, Jeanne and those to come,
What a gloriously beautiful morning I woke up to, after having spent yesterday driving 290 miles to NY and back for my nephew's graduation party, had a great time with family and Tony finally met the bulk of my family and he had a nice time as well. . . anyway, got home at midnight, went to sleep around 1:30 in the morning and woke up about half hour ago, planning on taking the Roxie girl for a nice walk at the dog park in Medford that I've heard so much about and then I will probably go to the gym, run some errands, come home and relax since that is what I feel like I want to do and I have the benefit of an extra day this weekend, so what I don't finish today, I can do tomorrow. . .
Feeling wonderful and hoping that you all have a good day, prayers and good wishes for peace and strength to those facing life challenges. . .
Hugs, Laureen

My Mantra is that I do not determine my success by the number hanging in my closet, nor will I let the scale determine that success either. . . It is through trial and error I will continue to grow and succeed. . . Laureen

Good Morning, Everyone
Nothing much on the agenda today. If it doesn't rain (right...fat chance of that!) I'm going to try to mow the lawn. I've been mowing it every 4-5 days this summer. The rain is unrelenting, and it's growing like crazy, and when there's a day that's dry enough to mow, I do it. I bought a new trimmer/edger, and will start using that as soon as I can figure out how to assemble it. There's only a few parts, but even with instructions I'm having a hard time. Will call a friend who has one and ask for help if I continue to have trouble with it.
I have a door-size wallpaper mural to hang in my sunroom. I had a door removed and thought the mural of flowers and sunshine would be easier than trying to match the 60 year old brick on the wall. If I could even get anyone to do the brick work, which is doubtful. This way I'll have flowers year round, or at least as long as the sunroom is open for the nice weather.
I like hanging wallpaper, but haven't done it for a long time. This isn't pre-pasted, so it should make for an interesting project...
Gardens are bedraggled, to say the least. Rain and wind have done their damage. But there's a while new batch of plants ready to flower, so something to look forward to. I do love my gardens. This year I haven't even minded the weeding. Guess I'm settling into retirement. Some days I have my doubts.
Right now I need more coffee. Some things never change. Have a good day, everyone.

Hello Trish and all Off peeps,
I woke up at 5this AM and thought it was Monday. I figure out my mistake when I saw the Sunday paper in the drive way. Silly me. Not much going on here today. Too blasted hot. Still over 100 degrees at 10PM last night. Ellen and I are going to try to go to a very late lunch today (miss the 12 noon church rush)
Hope everyone has a wonderful Sunday. Mag

Morning OFF and all...
I've been lurking and reading but, not much time to write. School is FINALLY over for another year!! I love teaching school, but I do love vacation too. I have 5 more years and then maybe I can consider retirement.
Tomorrow I have my 3 year check up with my surgeon. Its been a long hard 3 years for me. I lost over 200 pounds and have re-gained a few, about 6 or so. But, the biggest problem has been the hernias, and now the hypoglycemia. But I wouldn't change a thing cause I LOOK GOOD and I FEEL GOOD.
My granddaughter this morning told me "you look really beautiful for as old as you are!" I laughed and took that as a wonderful compliment. Yesterday she and I went to the movies. We saw "Mr. Popper's Penguins"..what a cute movie. SHe laughed thru the whole thing.
WEll off to ride my bike and do some laundry. Everyone have a great day.
