Good Morning OFFer's-

Woke up to rain and thunder this morning.  One of my favorite sounds.  Have sipped my morning water, swallowed my pills and pedaled my pedaler for 30 minutes.  The rest of the day will be cleaning, trip to dump, post office and library.  Supposed to rain all day so it will be an indoor day.

Hope everyone is well.

Morning all, been up for awhile, just feel like I am a pile of cement.
Sober 235 days and so proud of me.
Tired, but slept well. Swollen and slow. Glad we have little too do. Hubby & Yoda out on walk.
Poured here and glad of it. Hubby's pain meds arrived before expected delivery date. Good.
Watching Victoria Stillwell for dog training tips.
Angus doing very well in MT. Gkids still talking about ultrasound pictures of growing baby sister. The big sisters and brother are helping Sara with all aspects of life at home. Very awesome responses of joy and awareness.
Very busy week coming up. Trying to find good block of time to set up visit with Carla and Lynn.
Thankful for good days for our friends here. Need to find post about Bev and cancer report. Prayer each day are sustainging us all on our journey's. Are others having problems with losing posts? I am, so trying to remember to copy often....get so frustrated when I write a post and lose it.
Really enjoy my time on FB. Some of the games cause me stress, like Farmville and Gardens of Time. Also too many warnings about app's on FB, so I am very careful what I open.
Hope all have a super weekend. Hope Sue in CA finds a wonderful place for her Mom to live. I want Trish to feel wonderful, Mag too and sleep. Hugs, Monica

After what happened to me earlier with my lost post, I am tempted to start writing my posts in Word and cut and paste them here.  If it happens again, I will end up going that route.

Thanks for the hugs and well wishes here and on my post thanking everyone.  I believe this group is carrying me through this time period.

Hugs,
Trish

Crazy weather again here!!! Looks like its going to rain and there is nothing showing on the radar!!! Its really overcast and dark with some wind 64* and I am chilly...lol festival is going on this weekend. First one I went to with Rick 3 years ago and he took me on a ferris wheel ride!!! OMG I remember being so scared...lol I haven't been on a ride in YEARS!!!! But I did it and oh how happy I was!!!! LOL

Working today 1-9 which means I clean up the food court again...I think I am the only one that does it right!!! Mornings that I open it up I have to clean what should have been done the night before!!!! Sighs........

Rick wanted to make breakfast this morning but he can't find the bacon we just bought!! He looked all through the fridge and nothing...freezer...nothing again!!! Wonder what happened to it??? I went and looked in the car and its not there either. SO there went $10.00!!!! GRRRRRRRRR

Nothing else happening here so off I go to get ready for work. Thoughts and Prayers for those that need them!!!

Hey Judy too bad you are't closer -- I cleaned out my refrigerator/freezer this morning and found a half lb. of bacon I didn't remember putting there.  Guess I'll thaw it out and put it on the meat loafs I am making tomorrow for a pot luck at my son's church.
He and his wife are retiring from being the Youth Group Leaders -- they done it for a long time, and now that she has MS they need to cut back on activities.  The church is honoring them and I wanted to be there and help with the food.

I've cleaned house this morning and made a batch of strawberry protein ice cream.  Now I'm eating my lunch of shrimp (boiled) and romaine lettuce with some ff ranch dressing on it.  I love shrimp!

I so need to get my snacking under control.  I do well at meals, it's in between I lose control -- just have no will power.....have 28 lbs. I need to get off.

It's beautiful here today -- bright sunshine, temps in the 70's and a little breeze.  Lots of graduation parties going on today -- so thankful we have nice weather for them.

Got to run and finish my lunch, then have to go to a visitation at the funeral home later -- a co-worker from my first job -- he was only 67.

Have a lovely weekend, and as always good thoughts and prayers for all.

Oh Pat you too sound like yourself today. I find shrimp a miracle food. I buy the whatever store brand, jiumbo, frozen, cooked and keep in my freezer. I usually have them deforst in cold water with lemon. Drain and eat like a shrimp coctail with sauce. But do make a great scampi with Ritz cracker crumbs.
Enjoy your day! Hugs, Monica

I also think of shrimp as a magic food! Great protein source, no fat, fast and easy...and kinda special too!

A friend (garage sale champion) gave me a steamer which works great on shrimp (veggies too), and our local grocery store will steam them for us with whatever level of seasoning we order. Just discovered the little sports bar restaurant up the road from us here has great peel & eat shrimp (hot or cold) - figuring out which night it's on special so I can have it and bring home the leftovers.

My mom NEVER made or ate seafood as I was growing up. She was afraid fish would have a bone, and shellfish just turns her off. I never even tried shrimp till college, when they served deep fried shrimp in the dorm. I didn't know you weren't supposed to eat the tails! CRUNCH!

I can't eat shrimp, or any shellfish...Coumadin patients can't.  It messes with the levels of the coumadin, so do dark green veggies, like spinach and greens and broccoli.  Sucks.
