What's new Wednesday?
Hey y'all:
No one's beat me this morning ... trying to get through the Sox-Cubs game that I recorded. There was a rain delay so I'm not sure I got it all. I don't work later today so it doesn't matter when I get to sleep. I have nothing planned for later today, other than to watch baseball.
A particularly grueling night. One of the papers I work on redesigned part of the paper, moved thing around, etc. The one editor decided to wait til the last minute to create template for the pages ... meaning last night ... then decided to do the local front that I was supposed to do. She made a mess out of it, left me to clean it up, couldn't do automatic jumps ... I was getting short and upset ... luckily, the metro editor is way over in another city so she didn't know what I was saying. I am not calm when things don't go my way ... I mouth off too much. Needless to say, I'm happy I have today off. Unfortunately, it's just one day (my off days are split).
But then 700 people are being laid off in my company throughout the chain ... we are losing 27, 25 in August when we consolidate printing operations. They keep laying people off, I don't know how we're going to put out newspapers.

Still taking care of the mess left over from our volunteer event, putting things away and separating stuff. I'm catching up fast though and all the volunteers had a blast at the Air Zoo.
Went grocery shopping yesterday after work, came home and hubby had stained our deck in that hot humid weather. Ugh! He is a work horse, never stops, he just keeps going!
He got the inflatable 4 ft. pool up and going. Now the water just needs to warm up. The grand kids love coming over and playing.
We will be going up North over the 4th of July weekend and staying with my BIL and wife. I fixed them up, she is my spin instructor at the gym and we just connected. So I have my own personal trainer. She kicks my butt! I'm taking extra days off so I have 6 days off in a row and I'm so need it right now. They are on the water front, right across the lake from Mackinac Island and you can see the bride. I just love sitting out by the water and watching the ships go by. It's beautiful up North. I enjoy sitting by the campfire at night and looking at the stars. I enjoy swimming in the lake, there's a big rock you can stand on to get up and dive off the other side of the rock where it drops off. Just typing about it relaxes me! LOL Hugs Debbie

Your trip sounds wonderful. Our family use to go to Ludington, MI every year for a week. Our cottage was right on the shores of Hamlin Lake, but Lake Michigan was only a few miles away and we would play there as well. I only took the ferry across once, but it was fun. Then rode our motorcycles down WI and IL. and home to IN. Mag

We go up to Mackinac several times a year. I would like to retire up there on day. So laid back and peaceful.
I love Michigan and the 4 seasons. I especially love Fall, all the colors, the fresh clean smell.
Last evening before the storms there were deer across the road in the field next to us. Now if only Michigan had jobs!!!!!!!

Sober 232 days and so proud of me.
It rained for about 17 min yesterday, lots of thunder, 1st time Yoda acted scared. We went to dog park after the storm and he took care of business and pawed at gate to go.
Got to see Ultrasound photo of expected Gdaughter..so clear and beautiful. God is Great in his/her design. Emma & Alex got to hold probe and find actual heart beat. They were so excited. Emma had a major new team swim meet and she came in first in backstroke in single and team race, she is 10.
I go see new PCP today. Nervous but empowered.
Qualified for SS, but still didn't get approval for new reissued SS card. Lovely employee at SS office was really good. I put together a folder with my ORIGINAL birth, baptism, confirmation, marriage certificates, 4 letters from SS addressed to me send by them, 4 pay stubs from VA, 4 photo ID(3 have expired dates on them BIGGEST PROBLEM), and other mail from federal and state agency's. All not GOOD enough. So the government will send me the money...check in the mail, but won't give me a card, I have a copy of already. How do the illegals get through the system and a legal not. I will call local MA congressman's office today, as usual, but will ask for any help he can give me. SO PLEASE WISH ME HELP AND LUCK.
Hubby has app at big VA hospital Friday. Figured out we will make about $30 if we rent a small car to drive round trip to VA instead of taking our huge F-550 diesel truck, with the price of diesel. Crazy. He gets travel pay from VA and since hospital is 120 miles round trip, we will save. I think he likes the idea.

You are one busy couple. I was thinking that Tucson is one of the havens for illegals, so come here and I'm sure you will get whatever you want. (It's a sore spot with me.) I worked over 30 years and I don't get a cost of living for 2 years, but these guys get free just about anything. When Mom was still alive she and I could not get assistance because we made $28.00 too much for the year. OK enough of my soapbox. Mag
