Morning Lynn, OFFr's,

Changing up routines is a good think and better yet when you see results!  Have a good day doing what you got on your agenda.

Monica congrats on another day sober and you put your OC stuff to good use making those calls to get things done, unlike many otter people who just complain about things, you go girl. . .

Karen sounds like quite an experience you had, enjoy the grandkids. . .

Can't remember everything else, but just wanted to say hi and wish you all a good day.

Got up at 4:55, out the door by 5:10 and at the gym by 6:05, where I spent a little more than an hour doing the circuit set up, which consists of many different pieces of equipment found on the gym floor, but set up so you do a full body workout, then did 32 minutes on the elliptical, took my shower and here I sit at work, nothing too exciting going on here today, after work I will go home, feed Roxie, meet with my good buddy Owen, go to Starbucks, then to our AA homegroup meeting, home to bed, exciting isn't it?  lol

So have a good day, peace and strength to all facing life challenges.

Laureen

Good Morning OFFr's-

Not much new here in Maine.  Another day of sunshine and slightly warmer weather.  Planning on some yard work today.  Have to occupy my mind so I don't go off on a comfort binge worrying about surgery.

This morning on the Today show they had medical tests that women don't like and avoid.  One of them was colonoscopy.  So that brought up the question, is prep for a colonoscopy harder after WLS?  How about it?

Cindi - that's a question I would like answered too.  We can't drink a gallon of "stuff" like before surgery and I know from when I had mine before it was pretty bad.   I am due for one this year and have been avoiding it, what with all the other medical problems I've had.  Gall Bladder surgery in late April, and now more foot surgery in July.  I see my PCP next Tuesday for pre-op clearance and we'll talk about it then.   He tends to forget that I've had WLS - so I have to remind him.

Nice and cool here in southwest Michigan today -- some light rain.  I finally got my 3 big patio doors washed inside and out this morning....what a relief -- it was driving me nuts, they were so dirty.
Other than that a couple loads of laundry almost done  and will probably read.

Have a lovely day,
Pat R.

I didn't have to drink a lot when I had my colonoscopy post-WLS. I had a GI doc from MMPC, so he had my history from MMPC, which at the time was where the bariatric center was.

Wow, Cindi, I never thought about preps for colonoscopy after WLS. I had 2 pre-cancerous polyps and need a repeat. There is so much prep to drink. Yuck.  Mag

Hi Cindi...I just had my first colonoscopy done not to long ago and I told the dr I had WLS and he made it easier for me to "clean out". I remember having to drink some stuff but not as much of it as a "normal" person has to. Just be sure to stress that you had WLS before to the dr and you should be ok.

I went to the same gastroenterologist for the colonoscopy as for the pre wls endoscopy.

The fine print was the same as for rny surgery, take that stuff until output is clear, which took less input after surgery as there was no stomach involved.   It's been about four years now, but I don't remember it being any more uncomfortable.  The worst part of the whole thing was either missing some of the TV show I was watching while prepping, or trying to line up a ride home.

Hope it goes well!

Cindi, et.al.,

I had a colonoscopy before I had my gastric band removed and I told the gastro dr. about my restrictions.  He put me on a 2-day prep instead of a 1-day prep.  I had to drink 2 little bottles of magnesium citrate and nothing but clear fluids for 2 days.  The little bottles were about like drinking a 7-UP.  Not bad at all.

Hi Lynn and my OFF family:

Congrats on losing the weight ... I need to do that. I can't seem to take it off. Clothes don't fit at all. I need to get exercising. The only thing I can do is in the pool, and it's either been too hot or lately it's been raining. I'm grateful for the rain, though, although my body doesn't like rainy days ... remember the Carpenters' song "Rainy days and Mondays always get me down"? Well, my body doesn't like moisture, although the rain has dampened down the pollen.

Another gloomy day but the temp is up to 85, humidity 68 percent. I have to work tonight, but I'm off tomorrow. Sipping Island Coconut coffee from my Keurig brewer. Yummy! Didn't do much at all yesterday ... made an appointment for my dental checkup but not until July 11 after my next payday because this dentist wants payment first and then they bill the insurer and I get repaid ... kinda strange but oh well.

Anyway, I need to get into the shower. Have a good day.

Good afternoon Lynn and everyone.....

Lynn....congrats on the weight loss...I am proud of you!!

Karen C....those shoes will be perfect...doesn't matter the price. Hope we get to see pics!!!

Judy...I hope they kick those people out.....you don't want that place turning into a ghetto!!

Monica....I am just so proud of you and your sobriety...WTG!!!!!!!

Nothing new or exciting happening here.  The weather is still damp and cool which
means my pain is worse.....I need the SUN!!

Definitely not going to make it to the funeral. I spoke with my grandchildren last night and also my ex SIL....they are okay with it....they know the pain I get  and understand me not wanting to travel especially with Grace. I sent  a card and money this morning. They requested no flowers.

Washed sheets this morning for every ones beds...hung them out to dry. They smell so good.
My daughter loves fresh sheets hung on the line.

Gas went down to $3.43 so I filled up my tank. I was down about 3/4 tank.  I haven't bought gas since 4/28/11. Guess that shows that I don't get around much!!

Wishing you all a wonderful day. Prayers to all in need...a few special one as well.

Love an hugs to all......connie d
