Welcome to Monday!!!!!
Hello everyone! I have not checked in here for a few days. Last week was very busy at work and I was preparing to tske a few days off. Mike and I came to FL on Satruday and celebrated Fathers Day with son Davi d and his family. We celebrated with Mexican food and seeing Kipung Fu Panda 2 with 5 yr old granddaughter Alisa.
Today is our wedding anniversary so we will probably have a quiet celebration - we were up early to walk the neighborhood, and I am already enjoying pool time. With luck we will take in a Gulf sunset. I am so grateful to be in a good marriage with a man who is nurturing of me and respects my needs. I had not had much of that in my life before.
Carla, sounds like you and Carl may need to just be home together for a bit!
Monica, I saw your photos and you looked beautiful!
Have a wonderful day everyone!

Happy Anniversary Lynn. When we went to see Kung Fu Panda 2, we went to a Chinese buffet afterward for dinner. It was a coincidence, but funny. Would like to take my grandchildren to see "Mr. Poppers Penguins" when it comes out.
Hugs,
Trish

Seek always to do some good, somewhere. Every man has to seek in his own way to realize his true worth. You must give some time to your fellow man. For remember, you don't live in a world all your own. Your brothers are here too.

Good mornin' ya'll.
Saving $400 isn't bad. Especially if it leads to more quality time later.
Eileen, you are always so flexible at work. I bet that can get pretty stressful, but you usually sound like you handle it.
I have a great uncle with Down's Syndrome. Named our first son for him. He is about 5 years younger than me. He had a rough patch when his parent's passed a few years ago (my grandfather and his 2nd wife). He now lives with his half sister.
I know we need rain here in NC, but I can really live without it!
I am exhausted from this last week of company! Our daughter and granddaughter go back to OR this afternoon. Our granddaughter finally felt well enough to go swimming last night. She is recovering from mono, strep, 2 ear infections and a full body rash allergic reaction to the antibiotics. Just her, her brother, 2 cousins and one girlfriend, did a late night swim party last night. Her rash is nearly gone, but she didn't feel so self concious in the near dark!
The OR grandson will stay here until Friday when my DH and I take him to VA to Massanutten Military Academy for a 6 week summer school program. Then he goes home for 3 weeks, then back here to go to Camden Military Academy in SC for his Junior and Senior High School years.
Then next week, we each have a dr appt, I have a dentist appt and i'm going with DIL for her dr appt. I think I may be able to decompress about July first!
Everyone have a fantabulous day!
I was jus****ching about junk drawers on GMA. I have way too many of them! But I doubt if any of it is worth anything!

You are so busy too. Glad the Gdaughter is feeling better, we forget how bad mono can be, also not fun when not feeling good being away from home. At least being with her family and you must help.
Remember to be good to you as you do for so many others.
Prayers for you Gson. Difficult for this young man to go through so many lfe changes at his age and station in life. Hope the new school helps him on his journey thru school and these rough teenage years. We often think of childhood as a care free time and it ain't.

Hey Carla, OFFr's,
Hope you have a nice reunion with your Carl when he gets home. . . I will be in Florida from the 29th to the 4th, arriving evening of 29th and leaving evening of 4th, maybe I can wrangle some time away from my daughter's and grands to see you (meet Monica), that would be nice, just not sure about how doable it is. . . just a thought. . .
I had a busy weekend, Saturday I got up did two loads of laundry, changed the bed linens, Tony came down and we went to breakfast, took Roxie to get her nails trimmed, picked up treats for her, went home relaxed some, then lunch, whenever Tony takes me to eat (which is generally every weekend, because he does not want me cooking, says it time for me to relax), I wind up with enough food for at least two meals (lol), this week was no exception. . .after he left, I did some stuff around the house, went to my AA women's homegroup, met with my friend Owen for about an hour or so, then home to bed. . . yesterday got up, vacuumed the house of all the dog bunnies, took a ride to the Jackson Outlets to buy some shoes at Bass, wound up buying a cute summer dress as well in Ann Taylor, as I had a gift card left over from last year's mother's day, also bought a baby gift as next weekend I am going to NY for my nephews high school graduation and his cousin's wife had a baby boy on Tony's birthday last month. I just wanted to take the ride, as the road I take to the outlets is a nice country drive, lots of farms, horse farms and the like, came home, cooked dinner, got my food ready to go for the morning, packed my gym bag, choose my work clothes, as I shower and go to work from the gym, watched a movie called "Hachi, A Dog's Story" with Richard Gere, it was a really good movie and based on a true story about a dog and his loyalty towards his owner, after that I went to bed by 10 so I could feel somewhat refreshed when the alarm went off at 4:55 this morning, though last night I did not sleep well, woke three times to go to the bathroom, oh well, hopefully tonight I will sleep well. . . I'm at work now, planning to hit a noon AA meeting, then home to hang with Roxie girl and an early bedtime.
Wishing you all the very best of days and sending thoughs of peace and strength to those facing life challenges.
Hugs, Laureen
