What's Up on Thursday
Good Morning,
I am heading out the door for work. I am getting CPR training this morning. Then, I have to get labwork done, and home to watch the Phillies game.
What are you all up to?
Hugs,

Got up this morning with a horrendous sinus headache. I have taken meds, will do the netti pot when I finish my cocoa. Not sure exactly where all the grandsons spent the night. They are usually asleep in my living room on the couches and floor. Still clutching their game controllers.......well almost. Our DIL came by for cereal on her way to work. She says all the cars are there and bedroom doors closed, so I guess everyone slept down there last night.
I have a bunch of over ripe bananas for banana bread. I think I have prepared everything everyone requested except the brownies. I'll do those tomorrow.
I hope all of you who are struggling with jobs, family and/or money are finding solutions that satisfy all involved. Watching the news these days is very depressing. Weather tearing up entire towns, perfectly normal adults have a physical altercations in a grocery store, losing sports teams wrecking cars and looting! What has happened to everyone? Are there no limits anymore?
Everyone have a fantabulous day!
Work is busy, still getting ready for our Volunteer Recognition Event. Monday will be a blast for our volunteers and we want them to feel special and appreciated. I will be doing a lot of hugging on Monday! I've never been to our Air Zoo and I love to people watch too so I even plan to have a blast! LOL God Bless our Volunteers and if you are a volunteer and reading this God Bless you too!
So I'm off and running drinking my water and just took some vitamins. Nothing new with me except I do plan on going to the gym and working out in the pool after work. Hubby is working on his youngest daughter's house, put in a bigger window and re-framing it. The girls are lucky to have a daddy that can fix anything and build anything, they do appreciate him I will say that.
Everyone have a great day. Wow...over 200 people viewed our "what are you doing Wed" post. If you are new and have never posted, please do so. We welcome you with open arms and will support you in what ever WLS you have. So newbies, welcome! Hugs Debbie
Today I am off to a good start, got myself to the gym by 6:15, did the circuit training and 30 minutes on the elliptical, feeling invigorated and last nights meeting at Barix was truly wonderful, two of the leaders, one having done the leadership role for the past 4 years and the other, who is his g/f, they met through WLS support, stepped down and last night was their final meeting. It was a trip down memory lane, many of the friends whose life he has touched were there, so it was a great experience because some of those familiar faces to me, have not been seen in quite some time. There was even the original leader of support there and she is 10 years out, looks fabulous and talked about the big bad regain and how we can conquer it. So there was lots of positive vibes in that room and it was one of more energized meetings I've attended in a very long time. Oh and we had Dennis' daughter, who is a beautiful young woman, who expressed how loving and giving her dad has always been and then sang a beautiful song that she wrote herself, quite a talented young woman. . . we did spend time on support stuff too and the feelings expressed were very positive. Dennis is not leaving us, just taking a break and giving up the role of caretaker, he made that clear to us and I am thrilled. I love him and Beth, his g/f so much, what a wonderful couple they are. . .
Ok, so I went on and on. . . when don't I, lol.
So today has me at work, going to a noon AA meeting and dinner with a co-worker friend afterwards.
Wishing peace and strength to everyone and an extra dose for those facing serious life challenges.
Hugs, Laureen

I got a new laptop, very small & weighs about 2#. It has a camera so he can see me too. He gets out of work about the time I get up, so now this our morning ritual.
He hasn't had internet for 2 days, so I was worried. all better now. I can't wait for him to come home. I invited his girlfriend up for Cherry Festival so I hope she comes. It will give her chance to see where he lived before the Army.
Well I have a Doc. appt for my yearly checkup this afternoon. I have made it a year & a half with hospitol stays, so I am excited.
I hope you all have a great day!

Well, this is another big travel day for us. Packing up the truck this morning and hope to leave for Hilltop by noon. About a 6 hour drive, so the sooner we can get away the better. Hubby has the back of the truck so loaded up with saws and tools and stuff, I don't know where we're going to put our luggage and the pups! Plus I have a big box of party/kitchen ware for Benny's birthday party next week. Things like my punch bowl, chip and dip trays, etc. We're going to look like the Beverly Hillbillies going down the road! LOL.
Glad to read all the posts from yesterday and catch up with everyone. Wanted to respond to everyone, but was just too tired last night. I think I was sound asleep before 10 p.m. That's early for me.
Well, lots and lots to do this morning. I'll see you all tomorrow!
Love you all!
Early morning here only because I have not been to bed yet. Just never got tired. Hoping to catch some Z's later this morning.

I saw my PNP yesterday and he raised my Lamictal and then will raise it again in two weeks. Walking the line between mania and depression can be difficult at times, but I totally trust this gentleman to get me back on an even keel (soon.****ep reminding myself of all the wonderful things in my life and the great friends I have. You all have helped me so much by letting me know I am not alone. Attended an OA meeting for the first time in quite a while. It was very good to be there.
I don't know exactly how I did it, but I re-injured my neck on Tuesday night as I was getting ready for bed. Pain on the left side shooting straight up to the top of my head. Tylenol extra strength helps a lot. Must wear neck brace full time. (again) Tried to get out of PT for yesterday but Dr. Steve wanted to check it out. The good news is we got to work on gluts and abds and boy do I need that. lol It seems so funny to me that the DOCTOR is young enough to be my son. Doesn't it seem they get younger all the time?
Take care and be blessed. Praying for those who have voiced concerns. (and for all of us because we are good people.)
As ever, Mag
I went through a couple of years where I was walking the line between mania and depression, and also drinking alcoholically, bad relapse for me. Last year, my doc adjusted my meds to a combination I love that has me stable, more stable than I ever remember. Helps that I have been sober since January 15, 2010 too.
Hang in there. Keep in close communicatio with the doc.
Hugs,

Morning Trish and OFF family....well its cloudy here now and the rain is supposed to come today...not sure when just yet...nothing showing on the radar. Want to go to the strawberry festival tonight that starts at 6 but not sure if we will be rained out or not.
Bought a watermelon the other day and finally cut it up yesterday...OMG is it ever good!!!! And ofcourse me being me I ate a huge piece and didn't chew it up good enough before swallowing it...yuppers it got stuck!!! Hate when I "forget" how to eat!! Just glad it didn't stay stuck for long!!! So note to self...chew tha****ermelon before swallowing it!! LOL
Had excitement at complex yesterday also. Seems there are kids coming to our pool that do not live here and smoke their weed. Well we caught them at it and they were told to get out or the police would be called! They left. About 45 minutes later another group arrived. Cops were called in this time. We were told that if we see any of them back in here to call manager and if she isn't here to call the police asap!!! She is not going to turn our homes into drug infested punks!!!!!!! So atleast we now know that we do have a manager that is paying attention to what is going on around here even after hours!!! :-)
No word yet on how my neighbor made out at the dr yesterday. She was gone most of the day so not sure if she was doing tests or what. Need to go see her today and find out I guess.
Well not much else happening around here with me so I will get going. Thoughts and prayers to those that need them!!!
HUGS
It is sunny and HOT in our desert and I am loving it. I work about an hour from home and by the time I get to work, the onshore marine layer that causes our "June Gloom" is in full effect and it is gray, foggy and misty. It will most likely burn off by the afternoon, but it is pretty yucky right now. I am glad I live in the desert. Sometimes, I wish I worked there too.
Well, I got some good news this week. The bariatric surgeon's office called and said they had received the referral and auth from my insurance company. Woohoo! I have an appointment on July 19th which is the last day of my vacation. The appointment happens to be midway between San Diego where we vacation and home in the desert. So it will be perfect. I am getting excited. This surgeon requires that you attend one of his seminars and a support group. I have already done this in anticipation of the requirement and also because I want to be as successful as possible and knowledge is power.
Have a great day,
Sharon
