Happy Thursday Mindful Eaters, this is an excellent post from my Eating Coach. Indeed our weight is a reflection of our lives, we are judged by the public on our weight and I know at my heaviest weight people judged me by my weight who didn't know me. People who knew me loved me for whatever size I was...it was the strangers that gave me that look of being disgusted. I'm empowered now, I try not to let food control me but I'm being honest here...sometimes food wins, sometimes I made the better decision to eat an apple and not chips. My victory relies inside me...oh yeah, sometimes I win and sometimes I don't. I just do my best. Hugs Debbie

In order to be truly happy, your weight must serve your life – not vice versa.

Wait…did you actually read that right? Your weight should support the lifestyle you want to live – your life shouldn't’t be run by your waist line.

In fact -- your waist line is a reflection of how you live your life.  Too much food for the amount of activity you get?  You're going store that excess energy in the form of fat.

If you are moving more than the amount of calories you are eating in a day -- your body has to pull energy out of fat storage and use it to keep you moving.

Your weight is a reflection of your life.  If you don't like that reflection, you need to change your life.......and then your weight will change.

Good One Deb!!! When I am at work I am never sitting still I am always moving doing something! They ask me what my secret is...I just tell them if I stay in one spot to long I hurt so I keep moving. I am never at a stand still unless I am talking to people or cleaning an area. But then I am still moving while I am cleaning...LOL So I guess I am doing the right thing keep moving to keep the pounds off....weight is at a stand still once again but the inches I think are changing again. I am finding some of my size 12's are not as tight on me now. :-) wooohooo!!!!! ;-)

Whhooooo Judy, and a size 12 is a great size to be!!
How wonderful to keep moving while at work.
Sometimes I'm stuck at my desk so I welcome my volunteer's when they pop in so I can get up and move.
I just came from HR and walked outside both times, making it a half mile walk...took the long way! Now it's starting to sprinkle outside, but I'm glad I did the outside walk when I did.
Hugs right back at ya!

Thanks Deb!!! I can't hardly remember whan I last wore a size 12...guess it was before I had kids...lol This is the smallest I have been since having WLS and it sure feels good!!! :-)

No rain here yet but calling for it sometime today...glad you got your walk in when you did!!! I had Bandit outside earlier and he should go out again soon. I did ride my bike yesterday did about 10 laps around the pool "block" as I call it. Boy the legs sure use different muscles peddeling than walking!!! LOL

I use to tell people I was born a size 16!!! That was my goal to be a size 16 after WLS.
I have to remember how far I have come.
Really the smallest size I remember being is a size 20. A few times I got down to a size 16/18...for one day!...then put the pounds right back on.

So folks remember how far you have come.
Good for you walking and riding your bike...I love to bike ride. I also love to dance.
Exercise doesn't have to be boring.
When the grand kids lived with us I jumped on the trampoline with them. I need to get my butt out there and jump for joy and count my blessings! Hugs back at ya Judy G!

I always said I took after my dad...big fat and not so good to look at...and now...not sure who I take after....lol

As for dancing...well the "batwings" keep in in slow dancing mode....to flappy doing fast dances...lol

I embrace my "angel wings". Sometimes I forget I have angel wings and I do wear sleeveless tops. It's my body, it's me. Then when I direct the choir at church and I'm sleeveless a show to behold! LOL
So girlfriend I flap, I flop and I flip!...sometimes on the trampoline too!
