What's Up on Wednesday?
Good Morning OFF Family,
I woke up with some pain in my back, and can't get comfortable. I hope I can fall asleep soon, because I have to get up for work.
Wednesday has me heading to work. I hope I can get there on time this morning, because I was late on Monday. I forgot what rush hour on the PA Turnpike was like. I have to drop Utley off at Doggy Day Camp at Petsmart first. He loves it there, and they love him as well.
After work, I hope to attend a support group at Barix, as it is ages since I went to one, and I need the support face to face.
Hugs,
Trish

So last night hubby picked up dinner and it was Kentucky Fried Chicken. Guess what happened? Oh year 4 years plus out and pouchy had a fit. Ugh! Well enough said, we have all been though that scenario and today I'm back to Mindful Eating. Not hungry this morning but I will have an EAS drink for some protein. I'm sipping on water and taking some of my vitamins now. Hey today is a whole new day and I'm slapping it in the face and getting on track once again.
So I'm taking my Eating Coach's advice that I posted today on Taking Action and making the right choice. You all take care and have a great day! Hugs Debbie
I worked at KFC when I was 17, actually met my first husband through my manager there, anyway, after 2 months I was the only employee who still loved the stuff, I tried it once since post-WLS and I no longer like it, I do enjoy how it smells, but I found it greasy and not to my liking, thank GOD and I tried the other chicken they make and it was awful, they need to stick with Fried Chicken (lol). . .
Hugs, L

Well, I haven't even had a chance to read posts in a few days, much less post myself!
Our daughter and 2 grandkids arrived at noon on Sun. Into RDU, 2 hours away. Our daughter was having one of her vertigo episodes. It is called BBPV, I think. Anyway, it is where you have calcium crystals that come loose and float around in her ear. I wound up taking her to Urgent Care, but they sent her to the ER because she also had a stiff neck, and they were worried about that. So we spent 5 hours in the ER ruling out a "bleeder" in her neck, doing all kinds of tests (including PG), and doing nothing for her vertigo. They gave her meclazine that she knows doesn't work, but after laying flat for 5 hours she was a little better. On Monday we were able to get her a 'fit in' appt with an ENT in Wilmington who did the Dix Hall Pike and Epley proceedure and she was quite relieved. Yesterday we spent driving to and from the military academy in SC wher our grandson will be going for his junior and senior year. Meanwhile, our granddaughter has just been at home exhausted and trying to rest up from her mono, strep throat, ear infections and enlarged spleen. Yesterday the younger NC grandson stayed here all day with her and that made her happy. The OR grandson has been running around with one or the other of his cousins, and/or staying up all night playing video games and crashing on my couches. Today nothing is planned, yeah!! I have been feeding everyone between trips everywhere and I have a big batch of biscuits and gravy for everyone this morning. But I am getting anxious to have all the clutter picked up. Blankets and pillows and video games and boys spread all over the living room, clothes and duffle bag the grandson is living out of, all over my dining room. Our daughters foods and snacks for her diet all over the kitchen counters. The family room is the only place with no clutter! We are doing 2 loads of wash a day and at least a load of dishes daily. We have the plumber coming today to work on the pipes in the guest bath and the housekeeper will have to clean around the clutter tomorrow.
We still have to get all the clothes and supplies our grandson will need for his summer program at the military academy in VA, and get them marked and packed. I'll be needing a spa treatment by next Tuesday.
Everyone have a fantabulous day.
I often wonder why my adult kids don't treat our home as they do theirs.
Our home has always been like a military base camp....hubby has to have everything in it's place in case we are "attacked". Being ready for attack keeps people alive. Kids never understood this. Hell hard for me to understand at first, but then I got it. If you use it you put it back where it belongs. This applies to house, RV, car, etc. Having others touch and not return makes for difficult times indeed.
Having the clutter around from visitors gets us crazy too. I have special places for Gkids things when they are here, separate bags and THEY at least know that their stuff has to go into these bags and they know, even at their young ages to put their stuff in place. Wishing you less chaos, more fun, hugs, helping hands.....wanting that gravy. Love, Monica Book a spa day NOW!
