Kristi-

Scan the paperwork and email.  That takes care of those nasty watermarks.

Sorry you're having some personal stress, hang in there kiddo, light at the end of the tunnel.

Sober 223 days and so proud of me. Got up early and off we went to local VA for new patient meeting. Well organized and very different flavor from VA up north. Great information and organization. We go back Wed for PCP visit. I have a list of major concerns Hubby needs addressed.
Came home and I took a nap, hubby napping now. I got myself all worked up in fight mode and didn't need to. Learn to be less looking for trouble all the time I need to be.
Got up courage and call Social Security. Not a bad wait time to speak with human. Nice man explained I quaify now for @ $956 a month. Figure goes up $6 dollars a month until I reach "age 65". Think I will apply for money now. It is getting harder each month to "button" the pants of life. What do you all think?
Hot and humid here, sky is gorgeous shade of blue. Off to pool soon.
Wishing Trish a beautiful day at new job.
Karen, I use a bead bookmark and love it, pink crystal and so girlie girl.
Hope Vickie and Hubby have quality time each minute together.

Greetings Karen and OFF Family,
I am late posting today because I started my new job, and was out the door early today.  I had a physically boring day today.  It was training on all of the policies and procedures, and compliance issues for the hospital I am going to work in.  Thing is, I worked there for three years and every year, during Hospital Employee Week, they review the training for all staff, so I have either read, or been lectured on this material three times before.  It was okay, just tiring.  I also got a TB test started, and had to call my doctor to get proof that I had the Hepatitis B vaccine and to get a blood test to see if I have the immunities for chicken pox.  I never had them as a child, and I took care of all three of my kids when they had them.  If I have not had them, I need to get the chicken pox vaccine.  The nurse thinks I had thm but did not break out.

Tonight I am going out for dinner to celebrate my sis-in-law's birthday, which was yesterday.

Hugs,
Trish

Update on my little Patty Kate:

Well, PK and I went back to the vet today to see what could be done about all her scratching and itching.  This morning she bit herself so much she was bleeding.  It just breaks my heart to see her so miserable!

Anyway, we finally got in to see the vet and after much examination and discussion, he thinks she might be allergic to CHICKEN!  I didn't know chicken had allergens in it!  Here I've been just poking homemade chicken dog food down her for a month.

So he put her on some pills (they are already helping with the itching), and told me to find a dog food made from rabbit and peas.  Well, guess what?  I can't find it.  It's a common hypo-allergenic food for CATS, but not dogs.

Anyway, the point is to find a wild game protein source that she hasn't had before and to try it for a couple of months.  After much research this afternoon, I have finally settled on Natural Balance Sweet Potato and Venison dry kibble.  I can supplement it with venison from my freezer.  I've got to order it because it's not available here, natch.

But in the meantime, I'm making her some venison, sweet potato, and wild rice homemade food.  I sure hope this helps her!  She's such a sensitive little thing!

Thanks for all the advice and well wishes today.

Love you all!
