What's Up on Sunday?
Semi cloudy, but heading to pool. Hubby begining to understand scattered FL T'storm forecasts. Could pour or not minutes from here or not. Since I have done Fl summers for over 30 yrs I get it. We really need rain. Taco's for dinner. Nice gentle Yoda walk this morning. Wanted to go to beach, but we will go to pool instead. Too busy at beach on wkend.

Good Morning Everyone,
Feeling kind of guilty that I haven't been to the gym the past two days. However, Friday I mowed the lawn and pulled weeds. Yesterday I rented a steam cleaner and cleaned 3 rooms of carpet. Today I put the house back together and washed the wood floors. That should count for something shouldn't it? Mike's coming home tomorrow and I want to get everything back in place before he arrives. Trying my best Mrs. Cleaver thing here. I've played a lot this week while he has been gone so I'm making a concentrated effort to look productive when he arrives home.
We're having beautiiful, sunny, warm not hot weather and I'm loving it. School's out. I have plenty to do the next 6 weeks but I will have a few relaxing spells in there.
We're headed back to our daughter's June 23-28. We'll take our tent trailer over and leave it for a few weeks. I plan to take my daughter and grand daughters on a "girls weekend" to the beach around the first of August. If Erin will "let" me I'll take the twins a day ahead on a Thursday and get everything set up. Josh will be in Canada on a fishing trip so it's a perfect time for us to do our thing. We'll go to Pacific Beach, Wa. There's a great little campground right on the beach and on the edge of the tiny town. Love it, not much except an ice cream shop, a chowder house and miles of the Pacific Coast to explore.
We have blossoms on our tomato plants! Now if the wind doesn't blow them away. Mike put up a wind barrier this year and they are doing better so far. Last year they got so beat up by the wind that the best ones were the ones that ripened in the garage after we pulled the plants.
Well, it's a beautiful day, I've worked enough inside. I think I'll head out in the sun for an hour or two. You all enjoy the day.

95 degrees and it feels like 97 today in beautiful Monroe, La. I think this headache is a sinus headache or infection. My eyes are all puffy and everytime I get up or move, I feel the pain on the left side of my face. It's not as bad as yesterday at least. If it's still haunting me tomorrow, I'll call the doc ... need to call anyway because my Imitrex is out.
Talked to mom and brother Gary already. Older brother and SIL came over last week and cooked dinner for mom's birthday ... spaghetti and meat sauce and strawberry cream pie for dessert. She loved it. Older brother has a new car, a Honda Odyssey. Truck was costing too much in gas (not a big surprise). Gary is still job hunting, more than a year and a half in unemployment. He has been taking computer classes, but those are ending, so he needs to find a job, any job, because Mom is driving him crazy.
Back to work tonight ... Sunday's an easy night. I got to pick all the sports stories for the one paper last night, so they were actually interesting (the one guy doesn't really pick a lot of interesting stuff).

I'm a little slow moving today. I was up most of the night. By the time I went to bed the birds were singing. Ellen is sick. Temp, Chills, general all over tired. I kept her in hot tea. She didn't want crackers or toast. She has been napping off and on today. Said it really hurts to cough. Will watch her today. Hope it's nothing serious.
Waiting for the NBA game later today. Watched the horse race (Belmont) yesterday. Wanting to see another Triple Crown winner in my lifetime. I LOVE horses as well as my dogs and cat. Bela, the cat, would not leave Ellen's side last night. He knew something was wrong. Animals are so smart that way. I also adore my friends bird. He calls out, "peek-a-boo" and knows how to play it too. when he thinks he is not getting enough attention, he starts off saying "kisses, kisses, kisses" very softly. If he gets no response his volume increases and he makes it sound more urgent. What a fun bird.
