What Up on a Hot Thursday?

Good Morning OFF Family,
Today it is supposed to reach 100 degrees where I live.  Stay hydrated, drink extra water on top of your normal stuff.  It is easy to get dehydrated on days like today.

I woke up with a headache and it is killing me. I thin****pt waking up, and that caused me to not get a decent night's sleep.

Today I will walk Utley, which I dread. Then, hit an AA meeting. I had slacked off on getting there, and did make one yesterday. I want to get back on track. After that, I have an appointment with my podiatrist to see if the x-ray showed anything and to follow-up because my swelling was bad at my last visit.

After the doctor's visit, I will hit the gym for a swim. I am trying to get my exercise in, other than walking Utley.

This afternoon, I will get back to sewing snaps on Lincoln's coveralls. They are tedious, and I messed one up and have to rip it out and do it over. The whole project takes six snaps, which are two pieces each. It is very time consuming, and frustrating. Then, I have two buttons for the straps. I put snaps on the straps, and then put a button on for decoration. Snaps are easier to do when dressing him. They are also easier than sewing button holes.

Crapola! Trish. I should have posted here but didn't see it til and I went back to "proof" my post which is under Carla's. Nothing earthshattering so I'll leave it there.

I like to sew but buttonholes aren't my favorite thing. Way back when I did a lot of sewing I could make beautiful, perfect bound buttonholes! Now I would be hard put to get more than one the same size with the buttonhole attachment on my machine!

RIght now I'm in process of doing "minor" alterations on 3 little flowergirl dresses that the grand daughters are wearing at their Uncle Nate's wedding in July. The girls are 3 yr old twins and an almost 1 yr old. Doubt they'll anything more than look cute but the bride to be, my future daughter in law, seems happy with that.

Have a great day Trish!

Sober 219 days and so proud of me.
Wish I could take the credit for the DOD jumping on Delta airlines charging returning soldiers BIG $$$ for their 4th bag, but I can't. Just grateful that I pushed this issue on my list of like/don't like stuff on my daily phone calls to White House and Congressional members. Now if they would just stop sending $$$$$$ to other countries, stop interfering with CIA employee's, leave non-union companies alone, fix the southern boarder, and help soldiers find good jobs after separating from service, and on and on.
Not much happening with me. Got an appointment in 2 weeks to see a new PCP. I interviewed the office manager at office and like the answers given. Staff is treated with respect, so important. Also liked the fact that both staff member I did speak with had worked at complex 5+ years.
Hubby boxed up our fly tying equipment to send to our son Angus. We have expensive tools, collected over years of fly tying and fly fishing. They have sat dormant for 4 yrs now. Our fingers just don't work so well for small fly's anymore. Since he is now really getting into making his own fly's we made the decision to gift him now with something he would get later. Hubby is really excited and happy to do this. Using post office instead of UPS or Fedex...if it fits it ships one flat rate is affordable and easy to use.
Weather here great, but we need rain. Feeling sluggish and face really swollen. Doesn't feel like a sinus thing....too much mold in moss I think. Spanish moss abounds in trees here. I need to be more aggressive in keeping sleeping area pollen free...brushing hair, washing face, and brushing Yoda before bed after last night walk.
Hope all stay cool and dry. Hope you all can DO what you plan on doing today....some have such busy agenda's. Where is Nancy B? Prays she is feeling better!

Hi Trish and my OFF family:

I see we have two threads but not a whole lot of posts. I'm off today ... I had to go back to the lab to have the thiamine test redone. This happened two years ago, too ... they have to keep that blood test shielded from light; well, she didn't do that. Oh well, it wasn't a long drive. And it's pretty out, although hot, like usual (91, feels like 95). The crape myrtle trees are in bloom and very pretty. I was up earlier than I wanted (9 a.m.) and then lounged in bed trying to go back to sleep, until the lawn mowers started up. Finally got up at 10 and hit the shower, got in the car and went back to the lab. Now I'm just doing laundry, hanging around the house.

I thought I had to go to court for the bankruptcy discharge, but the lawyer's receptionist told me I didn't have to. So I have no plans today ... no work, just ballgames and laundry.

Got off the phone with Carla, who was in the Dallas airport.

Anyway, have a good day.

Hello Trish and all!

I posted on the other thread, so I'll just say hi here.

Trish, you can do it!  I hate hand sewing, too, but you're almost done!  You just have to keep swimming!  Love the idea of fake buttons.  You're absolutely right about the snaps!  Post pics on FB when you're done.
