Good morning OFF family and hey...prayers going up to those *****quested so early this morning.
The weekend especially Saturday was busy with granddaughter's 9th birthday and she had 2 of her girlfriends spend the night. Lucky parents! LOL
Went to nephew's high school grad. party for just a little while, it was so hot and muggy by the end of the day I was exhausted and pushing fluids. I hate to get dehydrated and I know I was by the end of the day. Zaps ya!
Gotta get in touch with BFF and see if she wants to work out in the pool after work. Then I will go check on one of my elderly volunteers and drop off 2 wooden crosses my hubby made for her next door neighbor for her 2 cats that passed away. My hubby made a beautiful cross for my volunteer who's Rudy her faithful dog/companion who passed away a few months ago. The neighbor asked my hubby to make some for her fur-babies. They turned out beautiful. Makes their garden area extra special.
Nothing new with me, plan on exercising at the gym everyday after work since hubby is in Kentucky 4 wheeling it. The house will be extra quiet with just me and the animals...but I'm getting a lot of reading done too. Take care all. Debbie

Good morning Margaret and all OFFers!
Margaret, will certainly pray for good news for you today. I had a stress test last fall prior to being certified for WLS. The last 30 seconds are the hardest. Just keep focused and you can do it.
And OBXLady, I've had a couple of MRIs. Nothing to fear there, even if they do the contrasting dye injection. You just lie on your back and listen to the machine whir and click and thump away. Tell your hubby to just breathe and relax. It doesn't take long.
Well, for all my fellow decorators, I did go to Home Depot yesterday and I think I found some paint colors that will work well with the ***** pink! (Glad you all found that so amusing!) I found 2 colors: Pecan Sandie, which is a kind of tannish brown color, and Malted Milk, which is a kind of pinkish brown color. I also found a floor tile with pinkish overtones in it. So I think I will not attempt to paint the shower tiles. I think I can work with what I've found. But, I do need to CLEAN them! I don't think these tiles have ever been properly cleaned and now there's a lot of white residue clouding them. So far, nothing I've tried will remove the white residue. We have very hard water here. Any ideas?
I also picked up paint samples for the master bedroom and one of the guest bedrooms. I'm itching to get started! But first, today, I'm going to paint an extra coat of poly on these new Adirondack chairs and tables we bought last month. They're all stacked up in my entry hall right now. I didn't want to leave them out until I could get them coated. They have a thin coat on them already, but I think they need more protection.
And I found some seat cushions at Home Depot for the Adironack chairs! My front door is painted dark red, and these cushions have a big dark red stripe. I'm really happy with them, and I'm really happy with the price! I'll have to bring them in every time we leave, but that's okay. I just hope they don't fade too badly in the hot Texas sun.
Well, I need to get crackin'! It's only cool for a little while in the mornings and then it gets too hot.
Love you all!

Please be mindful of fumes!! Hubby always goes wild with bleach and the fumes in RV get too much. He doesn't realize how powerful the bleach is. So extra protection. Colors sound great too. Have you tried vinegar, limeaway, or CLR to clean with? We found CLR a great "cutting thru" the grime and hard water. We are thrilled with the outside cushions we got at Home Depot, dry quickly, still bright and colorful even with 2 months in FL sun.
I thought the ***** pink a great visual discripton. The 2 colors you found will work and try the new with the shower stall. Does it have a glass door or do you get to get a shower curtain? Finding great towels, soaps, accessories will be fun too. You sound so busy. Imagine shoulder bags filled with the pounds you have lost and doing all this. Continued success Vickie, you have come so far!!

Thanks, Monica! I've tried CLR and Limeaway. Haven't tried the vinegar yet, and I think I will give it a go. It is a miracle cleaner sometimes. You can see the shower in the pics I posted on my profile page, and you can see the white haze on some of the tiles. If all else fails, I may have to call Stanley Steamers to come and clean it for me.
I like something called "Kaboom". It's not expensive and with a scratchy type of kitchen sponge or scrubbie and lots of elbow grease it really cleaned our old white shower tiles. Like yours they had severe hard water coating and no one had messed with them in years. I did a section at a time and I could see the improvement which kept me going. Have fun . . .hey it's exercise!

Thanks, Karen! I've got some Kaboom at home, but not here at the lakehouse. If the vinegar doesn't do it, I'll try the Kaboom next. If you look at the pics I posted on my profile page, you can see the white haze on some of the tiles. If I have to have a pink shower, I at least want it to be a CLEAN pink shower! LOL!
Well I'm personally glad the weekend is over. We spend them outside doing all our chores with the yard and garden and enjoying the weather but on Monday I am always worn out. Still have to clean the house really well today ugh. My doc doubled my antidepressants and I think I can already tell a little difference. My hands are really sore today. Our grandson had to go back into the hospital over the weekend for a high bili count and spend some time under the lamp. My son and daughter-in-law are exhausted. Alexander is beautiful and I can't wait to see him in person. Made him a sock monkey and a matching crib quilt. Will try to get them in the mail today. Everyone have a good week.
