Good Morning Jacki,
I am right there with you on the taking the heat over rain, cold, or snow.
Yesterdqy, went to the movies with sister, sis-in-law and nephew, and saw Kung Fu, Panda 2. Then we went to the Chinese buffet. Also, saw my Mom, who came to town for my sis-in-law's bridal shower.
Today I have a doctor appointment with my ENT doc, who helps me breath and not get sinus infections. Then, I have a drug test for a job I got.
Have a great day.
Hugs,
Trish

Seek always to do some good, somewhere. Every man has to seek in his own way to realize his true worth. You must give some time to your fellow man. For remember, you don't live in a world all your own. Your brothers are here too.

Yes, Iwill be doing per diem social work at a psych hospital I worked at part time for three years. Now that I am retired, I am able to work more during the week than when I was teaching. Plus, I retired on disability and will be able to work for nine months any schedule, to see if I am physically up to returning to work full time, or just part time.
I am looking forward to getting back there. I loved that job and hated giving it up when I did a year ago.
Thanks for thinking of me.

Good morning Jacki and everyone to follow.
We had a great Memorial Day. We had the 3 dogs here overnight Friday. Saturday I fed a few guys. Yesterday we went out to Kmart for the Mt. Dew they had on sale for $4.99 a case. With grandkids coming in a couple of weeks I like to have lots of choices like, soda, gatoraide, vitamin water, etc. I'll get food amd snacks closer to the time of their arrival.
Our SIL called and spoke with me for 45 minutes on Saturday. He and our daughter are struggling with what to do about our grandson. This year he has just gone downhill. All D's in all of his classes, rebelling about anything he is told to do. He has basically been on restriction all school year. Making them wonder if something happened to turn him around. Problem with teachers, students, what? They are sending him to a military academy in VA for the
summer. Our SIL had a heart to heart with him and floated the idea of a military academy for his junior and senior year of high school. Our grandson was actually quite excited about the idea. They went over the parent's handbook and the web page and Blaine was all on board. It is Camden Military Academy in SC. Four hours from us.
Pretty close to the Charlotte airport so access for back and forth to home for holidays will be easy. One thing I did learn from our SIL was that over the summer his cousin (on his Dad's side), told Blaine that he was a twin and his twin died in vitro. My SIL has never wanted our grandson to know about that. It really bothers him to talk about it, and of course Blaine had lots of questions. Could this have contributed to the turn around in his behavior? Just wondering.
We may break some heat records today. Our DIL stopped by at 6 AM to get milk, frozen fruit and yogurt to fix our grandson's breakfast. She came rushing in the door, headed for the fridge and freezer, talking all the way about what she needed. Of course, she knew where to find everything. We're closer than the grocery store. I just wonder what she bought yesterday while she was out running all of her errands? We never lock our doors when we are home, except when we go to bed. And everyone has a key to get in while we are gone. Sometimes (quite often) we will come home to discover dishes in the sink where someone has come in and fixed cereal or waffles (the grandsons) or a salad (our son). Funny how no one ever stops to clean the house or pull weeds. At least they put their dirty dishes in the sink and lock up when they are done. I really do love to have them all so close. This all reminds me of my childhood. We lived next door to our grandparents. They never locked their door, and their house was our house. Traditions!
Everyone have a fantabulous day!

You are one very special women......your home is THE PLACE FOR THE FAMILY. How are the headaches for DIL?
I wouldn't mind some dirty dishes in the sink from my kids coming by, but it won't happen in the RV. Still unsure how our summer trips to MA will happen. Waiting for input from daughter on their plans.
Waiting for the first, hate being so poor one and and have $$$ the next. Do you commissery tomorrow? Good shopping when you do!

Monica, I try to do the Commissary a day or 2 before military payday. My DIL's headaches are doing better. The new meds have helped a lot. She is also trying to manage her stress level. A little hard to do since she is a special ed aide to pre-schoolers and they are all crammed into a different school because her's was smushed in the tornado that hit Camp Lejeune. Thank you for asking.
She turns 41 tomorrow. My DH and I are dropping off lunch to her at school, from her favorite Chinese place.

Good morning Jacki and OFF family to post later.
Getting back on track once again, recovering from the Nero virus (?spelling) Ugh! The toilet was my friend...TMI!!!!
Going to the gym after work and work out in the pool. Found a brand new bathing suit at the Salvation Army, never has been worn, had the panty liner still in it. It's a brand new Speedo all for the high price of 3.99! I felt like I won the grand prize with this find. The pool loves to eat up bathing suits so I always get my exercise bathing suits at Thrift shops. Always. I like to adopt clothes!
Rebecca my youngest step-daughter is pregnant with her 4th. We found out Friday it's a boy! His name is David Joseph. Named after both grandpas! My hubby is thrilled. So is everyone...babies are so special. I love being a grandma!
Hugs and prayers for all in need. I have a ton of work to catch up on so take care! Debbie
