It's 8:40 East coast time.  I just got up after a hellacious night.

I am getting ready for work. It won't be difficult. We are going out for breakfast.

Baxter has been up since 4:30 am. He might have slept later but I had to have a potty break. Puppies MUST go out as soon as they wake up.

After a tough morning of chasing the cats, running up and down the house, he is finally curled up next to Tom, sound asleep.

Annette, you named the puppy Baxter?  We have a Baxter!!!!!!  So nice to see you here, we haven't connected much lately.

Not much going on today as it's my regular day off. Laundry going, sprinkler on the lawn, etc. Waiting a few more minutes after my breakfast to have a latte, then get dressed for the day. Gary's working three hours this morning to drug test his participants to make sure they behaved themselves over the holiday weekend. He'll get off early on Thursday to make up for it.

A little sore from my 5 mile walk yesterday, mostly my lower back, but it will stretch out over the course of the day.

That's it. So exciting, huh?

I knew you had a Baxter. We tried to fit all sorts of names to him, Baxter just seemed right. I didn't think you would mind.

After Marcy and Bonnie got to meet him, he was called "Little ****". Those puppy teeth hurt.

WOW 2 posts this morning...LOL gues I have to answer on both so nobdy gets feeling hurt...;-)

Well we had yet another storm roll through last night about 730-8 so Rick had to close the pool down. Party people weren't to happy about that...oh well better safe than sorry idiots!!! Lots of lightning in the area so it had to be shut down!!! GEZZZZ where are there heads?? Don't make me say it....LOL

Work yesterday was a nightmare....so many people that i think left their brains home...had a guy actually ask me if that was a bottle of water in the cooler!!! OMG!!!! I just looked at him like DUH!!!! I had to take a break then before I said something I would regret...LOL

Today we have baby back ribs for the grill not sure yet what else we will be having with it. Might have to go to the store for a couple things not sure yet. All I know is his mother better not come over or else!!!!! I am not in the mood for her!!!!

Need to start getting thngs ready to pack for VACATION!!!! OMG less than a week now and we are gone!!!!! WOOOHOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So looking forward to that!!!! It is going to be so much fun!!!!

Well better get going here and see what my sweetie is up to. Thoughts and prayers to those that need them!!!

Bad night...no, you said hellacious...hope your day gets better!

Beautiful day along the East Coast, no storms in the forecast, maybe grilling this evening. I really want to go home after work and go for a walk. Hope the family doesn't have a stack-o-things for me to tend to when I get home.

Not blaming them, entirely, but seems like the kids subconciously sabotage my efforts at weight loss and excercize. I know, its my fault for letting the kids "run" me. They aren't kids anymore, the youngest is 25, the oldest is 33 (she's in Germany). OK, that's it! I'm gonna take my life back and do this for me! I'm going for a walk when I get home and all I wanna know is...Who's going with me?

One small step out of the yard, one giant leap for ME!

Yes, Kristi...more hellacious than bad...  Overdid in the yard yesterday, so by last night everything on my body hurt.  Trying to get back to "fighting" shape may well do me in.  I don't like to take pain meds 'cause they make me stupid, so just went to bed early.  Thought I'd sleep it off.  Most nights I sleep the sleep of the innocent.  Not last night.  Couldn't fall asleep, then when I did, woke up every hour, tossing, turning, aching.  By the time I decided enough was enough it was almost morning, didn't want to take pain pill (due to the "stupid" effect), so just gave up and got up. 

Next time (and yes, there WILL be a next time, there always is), I'll just give in and take the pill.  I've been stupid before, I can be stupid again.....
