Manic Monday What's New?
Good morning Trish and fellow OFF family to post later. It's a beautiful sun shining day in Kalamazoo and work will keep me busy once again. I'm ready to go!
Had a busy weekend, babysat Loulabelle and she is walking really good at 10 months. She has to keep up with bigger brother and sister. Rozzie spent the whole weekend with us. She need one on one time with her grandparents I think. We went to the move Rio and it was really cute. Then dinner at Pizza Hut. The weekend just flew for me.
Take care everyone, have a blessed day, hugs and prayers for all in need.
Trish take care of that back. Ugh! I hate back pain. Keeps you down. Hugs Debbie

What???? It's 7:30 and no roll call yet? Where is everyone?
We had steady rain all night - great night for sleeping.
I haven't been able to post much in the past week or so - lot of work stuff going on last week, but hoping to be able to strike a better balance this week with everything.
I am working at home today after a busy week last week with 3 days in Philly. Have to get the oil changed in the car at lunchtime and have to get to the gym. My workouts don't seem to be paying off in terms of weight loss, but at least I am doing what I need to do to keep the muscles firmed up and the metabolism ticking along.
We were disappointed this weekend - Mike wanted to take a Sunday afternoon drive up to see his daughter and her kids, but as usual it didn't work out at her end. The truth is that we seldom see the kids, and are about #5 or #6 on the list unless there is a situation requiring money, at which time we move up the list quickly. Mike feels like he has lost touch with the kids and it is hard to see him go through that kind of feeling. Daughter has a real manipulative streak, and I can never quite trust where she is coming from....but I refuse to engage in the drama of all that. Her life is "nicey nice" on the surface but has elements of a bad Jerry Springer show underneath and I just refuse to engage in all of that. He is taking the position now that "the ball is in her court."
He is stressed anyway because of some changes in their management team at work - moved to a new office over the weekend and a new colleague is starting today. It should go well - but change is always a challenge.
Hoping that all of you have a wonderful day, wherever you are!

Oh the dynamics and drama family's bring to each other. Discovering some "issues" with our oldest daughter that are upsetting to US. But I haven't worn her "panties" in life as an adult. Sure I changed her diapers, but that was long ago.
Special thoughts going out to your hubby...change is always a challenge and gets WAY to scary as we become AGED Cheddar in the wheel of life.

Morning Trish, Monica and others (can't remember who else posted already)...
The sun is shining brightly this morning -- after a dreary, very wet weekend it's a big relief. Sure makes a person feel better!
I don't know if Dr. Kemmeter did some "tweaking" when he removed my gall bladder, but I've lost 11 lbs. since surgery -- hurrah!!! at my lowest weight in several months and it feels so good. Faithfully riding the recumbent bike and need to start using the weights for upper body strength.
Time to get to work -- prayers and good thoughts to all,

Done! Your Ticker:
Good morning all, it is sunny today in Nebraska. Don't think it will last but I am enjoying it. Well, this weekend my grandson graduates from high school. Time goes by so fast. The ceremony is on sunday and the party is on saturday. Yesterday my DH and I went to some open houses. We are looking into moving to a smaller home. We are just getting started. Hope everyone has a good week. Take care. Mona

Oh you are so smart to visit open houses in your area. Our daughter is a realtor for ReMax and she gave us good advice for selling our home in 2005/06. She kept telling her DAD to declutter the house of US and he couldn't get it for a long time that people need to envision themselves in the house, NOT look at all the stuff in our house that would disappear when they brought it. Sorting through what we needed for the new life in RV was a hoot too. We did make good decisions. Slowly going thru each room and garage helped. Making a staging area with keep, sell, scrap helped too. Good looking and decision making. Make sure you hook up with a great realtor, makes a big difference.
I totally relate to the addictiveness of this thread. I went through withdrawal when I was with the Munchkins in Michigan, and had to wait till the kids were in bed sometimes to check in on everyone. I feel like I have a family here.
Hugs,
Trish
