Saturday Morning. . . What's New With You?
Hi Karen and my OFF family:
Cute story, Karen. BTW, "The Conspirator" is very good, but it's a serious movie without a lot of car chases or that stuff to keep you awake. I enjoyed it, but I'm a history buff. I think you are, too.
I didn't sleep all that well ... kept waking up with night sweats. Finally slept well from 8:30-11:30, but now I have to go work today. Ugh. At least I don't have to do Monroe sports for one night. Yesterday was busy because everything was coming in late. I was a little late, but not as bad as it could have been.
Now the bad news is I have to work another six days before I get two days off. That'll be eight days in a row. I'm not going to be a very pleasant person by the end of that stretch ... don't they know that by now? Yes, I do get Friday-Saturday next week, but it would be better to give me days off earlier in the week so I could get some rest from this long stretch, especially since I only had one day off this week, and that I'm doing Monroe sports, which always stresses me out more.
Anyway, it's nearly 1:30 ... should get into the shower. Not in the mood to think about lunch but I guess I should. Just finishing up coffee. Have a good day.

Hello everyone!! It's late, Saturday night but it's my daytime. We go to work @ 2:30 a.m. and do our route, come home to coffee, relaxing with newspaper, morning t.v. news, breakfast then shower and bed. It's a crazy schedule, took a while for us to adjust, but I think we've gotten into our new routine. We like to be up and dressed by 3 or 4 in the afternoon so we can have some "us" time. We have pulled our bikes out, gotten them aired up and ready, take nice long walks with the furbabies, do the dinner thing, then sit down with t.v. & laptops....so here I am. Oh, I forget our sitting on the front porch time with after dinner coffee. Probably one of my most favorite times. The little furbabies love being outside with us.
I do have a question.....I've had dizziness for several months now. It's inner ear I'm pretty sure and PCP sees fluid on my ears each time I go in his office. Anyway, he put me on 2 rounds of antibiotics about a month ago plus nose spray and told me of some exercises to do with my head to equalize the fluid in my ears. I've done all that and it did help. Now it's back...so when my DH & I saw our PCP this week for routine follow-up, the Dr. checked my ears again, saw fluid and checked out the back of my neck. He then wrote an order for a neck xray??!! He says it could be RA in my neck causing all this dizziness. Anyone experience this or ever hear of it? LOL...that's my question by the way...sorry for such a long explanation.
I just love coming here everyday reading all the post from you all. I feel like I know you all personally because you share so much of your everyday life. So proud of you Monica....almost @ day 200!!!
Ok, I'm not good at names so won't go any further but I'm so proud of all the accomplishments on weight losses, better eating, great gardening(how I wish I could benefit from those fresh veges), Nic's graduation party....... and praying for all of those in need.

Hi Cindy,
There can be sooo many reasons for dizziness. We did so many things to figure out mine. I now go to and Ear, Nose and Throat doctor. He did a test called an ENG and it's my left inner ear that's the problem. I have been ill many years with no exercise and many muscles have atrophied. Even those in my neck. I don't keep my head straight (lol My heads on crooked!!) I now wear a soft collar which helps a lot. I'm also in PT to help me regain my strength. The only reason I'm telling you my story is nobody could figure it out until my PCP sent me to the specialist. Maybe an ENT doctor could help. Just a thought. Mag
Look! My head really IS on crooked!!!! lol

LOL Mag...your "head on crooked" made me laugh. I totally agree that being referred to an ENT specialist is my answer to getting this problem solved but for some reason my PCP hasn't decided on doing that. You can bet I'll bring that idea up at our next appt. What is an ENG that the ENT Dr. ran on you? I'm a nervous nelly when it comes to testing..things I'm unfamiliar with....lol.
Thanks so much for your reply. Have a great evening....what's left of it. We'll be leaving for work in a couple of hours....oh joy!!

The ENG is a test that takes about 2 hours. Mine was done in the ENT's main office. It doesn't hurt but may increase your dizziness slightly at different parts of the test. I coped well until almost the end. I was dizzy enough that I got nauseated. It went away quickly. I did have my sis drive me which was a very good thing. They warned me to have someone with me or they would cancel the test. It starts out with me sitting up and watching this light move side to side (no turning the head) Then the lights going up and down. A few more tests with the lights. The next group is done in a lying position. They help you look to the side and they drop you head to the side. It sounds worse than it is. Oh, Did I mention that this entire time I'm wearing a Darth Vader type helmet with all the electrodes and recording stuff in it? Not very fun or fashionable, but no biggie. Mag
