I'm up, showered, partially dressed and have a load of laundry going.  Need to go out to Kroger and stock up on their Carbmaster yogurt this morning....also need a couple other items.   Made up a batch of taco meat yesterday using the all white ground turkey -- yummo.

We had a nice little t-storm around eleven last night.  This morning the sun is shining, but I believe more storms are in the forecast for later.   It got up into the 80's here yesterday and I had to turn the a/c on for a while -- more 80's today.

Feeling really good and things seem to be getting back to normal .  The incision where they took the gb out is still red and angry looking, but it is some better and I will continue the regime of cleaning it with diluted peroxide and applying triple antiobiotic ointment 3X a day.  If it doesn't look a lot better by the first of next week I may have to go to the local wound clinic.

Hope everyone has a good day,
Pat r.

Connie, you know Nic is my hero!!!! Please tell him how much I enjoy hearing about his life. Morgan told her mom the other day she wants to be a cancer Doctor. She knows how scared the kids are when they go thru treatment & wants to help. I really look foreward to the day she graduates from high school. I think 9 more years.

Thank you Nan...Morgan is quite the HERO too...I am so proud of her!! We are blessed with some pretty wonderful grandchildren!!

Nic was going into the medical field and  is leaning more toward law enforcement. He said he has had enough of hospitals...at least for now...who knows he may change his mind again! He still talks a lot about helping children with cancer and their fears as well.

Have a wonderful day...hugs....connie d

Pat, forgive me for sticking my nose into things, but I've been through the wringer more than once with wound issues and have been under the care of wound specialists more than I'd even care to think of. The very first thing that the wound Doc said to me was to never use peroxide on a wound after the initial cleansing. It will wash debris out of a cut, but it kills healthy tissue. Then, my plastic surgeon and the wound doc both told me that 60% of prople are allergic to one of the componets of "triple antibiotic" ointment and that it will eventually be taken off the market altogether. This might be the case wth you???
