It's Tuesday, what's new?
Hi, my OFF family:
I'm sitting here watching the White Sox game ... recording, of course ... can you believe they scored eight runs? Finally, they found their bats from that Little League team that stole them. Bout time.
Well, whatever felt like it was getting stuck yesterday is unstuck now. I sucked on a piece of hard candy (SF, of course), and then I felt better. Man, I was really feeling miserable for awhile.
Not a whole lot going on. Work wasn't too bad, I even finished before the two other Monroe folks (and on time, I might add). Tired, though. After this half-inning, I'm going to bed.
Well, have a good one. I'll check in later this morning/early afternoon, depending on when I get up. Chat away.

I was up at 5:00 with a very fussy 21 month old, who would not let my daughter sleep at all last night. He has the intestinal bug, and she is single parenting it for a couple of days. Her hubby had to work out of town for a few days.
She just left for work, and he threw a royal fit. I am babysitting and trying to get things settled for him.

Good morning Eileen and Trish and all to follow:
Going back to work this morning -- got a great report at the surgeon's ofc yesterday, other than one incision that is looking a bit "angry", so treating that with triple antiobiotic ointment. I am feeling really good and got a great night's sleep, after having to get up at 4:15 a.m. yesterday to do our 2 hr. trip to the dr. in Gr. Rapids.
Looking rainy here this morning, but temps to get into the mid 70's.

It's a cloudy day here this morning and maybe rain but man we have been having wonderful, beautiful weather!
Made it to the gym after work and worked out in the pool along with weights for my strength training. It felt good and I probably will go today also. Did a 30 minute walk too.
Sitting here and typing this, sipping on some water and taking my vitamins. Next will be the EAS Protein shake and mid morning an orange. Have a WW dinner for lunch. I'm working my tool, doing Mindful Eating and moving. I'm still fighting tummy pain and I know it's adhesion's. Surgery once again will be in my future but I'm holding off as long as possible. I'm not letting this get me down, I'm pushing through it and staying away from comfort foods. Food is not going to make me feel better but exercise does. I just can't exercise like I use to. But I'm still mooooving and grooooooovin'!!!!!!!!!!!!! Hugs and prayers for all in need. Debbiejean

It's Tuesday, and lovely and sunny here right now! Supposed to be really nice all week.
Today will be spent continuing work on the border for Amanda's afghan. Amanda is our grandson's girlfriend. They have been going together for 3 years and she is a real sweetheart. I want this for her birthday in August.
Our daughter has decided to send her son to Massanutten Military Academy for 5 weeks this summer. Why, you might ask? Well, he is only getting 'C's in school, has poor hygeine and won't keep his room or clothes clean! Our oldest grandson here says "Jeese, he's just being a lazy teenage boy!" I agree, but, it's not my money. They are all coming here for their summer visit in June. The grandson was gonna stay a week longer anyway. Now, 4 days after the girls go back to OR, my DH and I will be driving him to Woodstock, VA. Then picking him up 5 weeks later and sending him back to OR. I'm sure they will teach him to do his own laundry, iron and use soap when he showers. And may even get his grades up in the 3 subjects she chooses. But who is to say he will continue when he gets home?

Hi all,
My cat,Bela, has not let me sleep. First he wanted petted when I went to bed. Then he was playing with my hands and feet. Attacking them through the blanket. Next trick was sitting on me (all 18 pounds) He wakes me up by bumping this hard head against me. He really wants to be with me every second since I got back from petsitting. It's nice to be loved and apparently he does not want me to go anywhere without him. I guess he's afraid I'll leave again.
My sister get home today from New Orleans. I'll be glad to have human company again. Have a big list of little things to do today. PT session today. It really wears me out but I know how much it is helping me.

It's a beautiful morning here in Centra AR, cool breeze, not to muggy(yet), and nice enough to eat bkfst on the patio. I have the sprinkler running before I leave for a doctor's appointment and then work. Busy, busy there, thank goodness!
Getting the stitches out of my hip today where the PS revised the scar line and fixed the dog ear. I'll be glad when this is all over. Well, for now anyway. He still has to revise the scar line on my left arm. That can wait until the fall when I'll want to wear longer sleeves again.
Gary is under the weather. Such a wuss when it comes to being sick. He thought for sure he had strep throat, so off to the dr he went yesterday. Nope, you're just sick. Well, I could have said that since he didn't have a fever or anything, but what do I know???
I wish I had some wonderful story or news to tell, but that's all there is! Hope you all have a wonderful day

My dear friend Angela moved to Arizona. We have been friends for many years with at least a weekly lunch date and plenty of gabbing during the week. Her move has left me feeling emotionally adrift.
Helping her empty the house also motivated me to purge my own. 45 years of living here has accumulated way too much junk!!! Left up to me, we would get rid of everything but the cats and start fresh. On second thought, the cats (especially Annie) might be in trouble too. Kidding?

Good morning all!
So, today begins my next month as a single woman--again. Actually, I'm looking forward to having the house to myself for the next several weeks. I have been neglecting it and my yard and my flower beds. For the first time in a LONG time, I actually feel like doing something physical for a change. I'm ready to tackle some of the projects around here.
BTW, for those of you *****ad my dog food post, my little Patty Kate had a much better night last night! She's still scratching a bit, but nothing like she was yesterday. She managed to sleep all night, too (which means I managed to sleep all night--I'm with you on that one, Mag! When my pet doesn't sleep, I don't sleep!).
(Also, btw, my husband made it to Amsterdam just fine. Hopefully I'll hear from him in the morning when he gets to the rig in Saudi. Then I can relax.)
So the good news is that I lost another half pound today! Grammylew, I did manage to walk a bit on my treadmill last night. I plan to do more today.
Product review: Thomas's 100% Whole Wheat Bagel Thins! I'm probably the last person to discover these, but wow! I bought some at Sam's yesterday. Only 110 calories for the whole thing, with 5 grams of fiber and 6 grams of protein. Plus they're the perfect size to hold a Boca Burger!
Oh, and one other news item today: my little grandson is walking! Took his first steps yesterday. Wish I could have been there to see that!
