Today's Reflection
Today I accept the fact that I have made mistakes.
I find comfort in knowing that, in the past, I did what I thought was right at the time. What makes my mistakes seem so bad is that I judge them by what I know today. I know more than I did then, and less than I will tomorrow.
I trust that, in the future, I will not make the same mistakes. I have more information now, and I will be able to handle things differently and make wiser choices. I accept myself for who I was then and for who I am today.

My Mantra is that I do not determine my success by the number hanging in my closet, nor will I let the scale determine that success either. . . It is through trial and error I will continue to grow and succeed. . . Laureen
"Success is a journey, not a destination." Ben Sweetland
Amen to that!! A lot of my journey involved forgiving myself. I made a lot of poor decisions, but I was living in a world badly distorted by my disease-spiritual, mental, and physical. Plus depression, undiagnosed for many years.
A lot of serenity resulted from being able to forgive myself and move on, recognizing that I did the best I could then and can do better today and can strive to continue doing better each day through recovery.
Serenity really is a blessing.
Have a great weekend.
