It's Tuesday, what's new?

Hi my OFF family:

I haven't started this for awhile, so I thought I'd start today. It's been pouring rain on and off since early afternoon. When I left for the pain clinic, it was hot and muggy; it's now really chilly out there.

Cleaning fairy comes later this morning (too early for me, but she was supposed to come last Thursday and didn't make it). So I'll be up early again today.

My coworker Richard is back; his family is in the Tuscaloosa, Ala., area and their home was destroyed by the tornadoes. He said his grandparents' home is gone; his parents had severe damage and are picking up the pieces. He's a nice young man and I feel sorry for everyone out there. Nobody really says much to anyone; he was surprised I expressed concern to him.

Well, I'm tired so I'm going to bed. I'll check back later.

Good morning Eileen.  Sorry to hear about your co-worker's family.  Prayers for him.  At least they all are alive.

I am really suffering right now.  My team has forgotten how to play defense, how to use a bullpen, and generally how to play ball.  Probably nothing that having Josh and Neftali back won't cure.  We have three games in Seattle before returning home for the Yankees.

Eddie has his first game Friday night with his new team.  A select team recruited him at the batting cages last week, and Brad and Oleta decided it is time for him to make the step.  Unfortunately, I have tickets for the Rangers vs Yankees.  But he has another game with them on Saturday morning.  I will be at that one.  It will be weird, because I do not anticipate him starting (which he has always done) and if he does, he probably will be at the bottom of the batting order (he always bats first, second or third, no lower than fifth).

Saturday afternoon we are going to lunch with a friend of Mary's from her days in Spain in the 1960's.  Then we are going to the Rangers game, but they will not be sitting with us.  Still, it looks to be a fun day.

It is sad that I am already planning my weekend, and here it is only Tuesday.

GOD BLESS AMERICA!!!!!

Morning Eileen, and George...

Not sad George you just enjoy week ends!@!!!  I'm up really early this morning but, its the time of year when we do state testing at school.  I'm giving a test to a profoundly deaf 8th grader, I am the reader, signer and writer for this student so they want me in school SUPER early.  SIGH !!!!!
My new baby grandson is doing great..I'm still having trouble figuring out how to put a picture on here tho.

Well I'm off to get ready.  Prayers to all who need them...((((HUGS)))) too...
   God Bless us all..

Happy new baby doing great. I know lightswitch helped me with putting up pics. Frustration about things I used to know how to do before and now forgot how too.
Sober 181 days and so proud of me.
We had such fun at dog park last night. Super mix of dogs, all sizes, and people. We were there for over an hour visiting. Four of the little dogs, Yoda included, LOVE to chase squirrels so there was much hunting and please let me climb the trees play. I believe the squirrels are brilliant and are an organized gang whose purpose is to torment the dogs. As we drove into the parking area, I counted 9 outside the fence. One even approached the golf cart, stood up, only 3 feet from the cart. Yoda froze on the bench seat and stared at the brazen squirrel. Then the squirrel lept to a tree that overhangs the fence and chaos erupted. Enjoying laughing out loud belly laughter moments.
Hubby washed floors and scrubbed carpets in afternoon. Can't wait to see how crippled he is this AM. He did put on his back brace, stretched out well before hand, and did not work like a speed demon super dumb A**. AND he didn't try to do the whole RV. Only living room area to tackle. I praised him often in the same Yoda Good Boy voice. We both are learning new tricks....Victoria Stillman, of Animal Planet, "IT's me or the Dog" is a GREAT teacher.
Sorry George about your team. I am confused about possible NFL strike, no strike stuff. You need your baseball, I need by football.
Hope all had a safe night and good dreams. Happy Days to all.

Good mornin' ya'll.
Had a little discomfort from my port removal site overnight. Had to use a percocet. Could only do 30 min on my treadmill. Every step was jarring my site. Ouch! Don't wanna take another pill since I have to drive. At 11:30 I have an appointment to get my broken tooth fixed. From what I can see of it, it looks like the entire tooth is basically filling. He will probably say I need a cap!
George, so sorry about your team. I'm sure they will turn around!
Eileen, my cleaning fairy comes Thursday. Our lawn fairies come too. They missed last week, so now our yard looks like a jungle. I am not happy with them!
Better go, my DIL is here on her way to school.
Have a fantabulous day.

Hi Eileen and OFF family to post later. Happy Tuesday and it's a whole new day, let's lift up our spirits and rejoice for we are alive and kicking! God Bless our Military and special prayers for our friends in the South. All those tornado's, all that destruction and yet, it's a new day and we learn more about the strength of people who just pick themselves up and keep moving forward. People are grieving all around us and the world keeps turning. Life goes on and some people just feel alone. Thank God we have this forum and support from our OFF family!

So yesterday was very busy for me and today will be too. Lots of stuff going on in our office and I'm getting things done!

Today after work I have a facial laser apt. to get a "refresh" job on my face...getting rid of ugly facial hair. It's a fast technique and it is taking care of the unwanted hair and I suspect for me I will have to have yearly "clean ups" for stubborn areas, but I'm happy with the results. Electrolysis never did work for me and I remember when I was in my 30's laying down and getting zapped for 2 hours at a time! Yuck! Oh the pain us women go through to make peace with our bodies! LOL Okay TMI for the men but a lot of the women reading this will connect with me on that one. The biotin I was taking 4 years ago refreshed my hair growth...and I don't take it anymore! Now that's just me ladies, it might not happen to you! Let's hope not anyway. Sigh...

So I don't know if it's going to rain here in Kalamazoo but if it doesn't it's outside for a brisk walk for me today. I'm sitting here typing this, sipping on my EAS shake and got some of my vitamins down. I put all my vitamins on my desk, laid out for the day and by the end of my shift I have them all in.

My skinny friend that sits across the hall from me has gotten me on this Matcha Green Tea. It's loose tea that you put 1/2 t. in a cup and put a little ho****er in it to make a paste first then fill the cup up with ho****er. It's not a strong tea at all but folks I tell ya for some reason it helps if you are hungry, it does have caffeine in it, drink 3 cups a day. The weight is coming off slowly. I also thinks it helps to have something warm to drink. So I have added this tea into my Mindful Eating day!

Sunday we are celebrating our middle daughter (she's my stepdaughter, I have no children of my own, yet have many children that are mine! LOL) So I will have to be mindful being around all those treats. I do have a plan, stay away from the feeding table and hold my grand babies! Let's see if I can do that, I will allow myself one small treat and that's it. Why undo all the good I've done for myself these past 3 months???? Well okay I do love food and most of us do. What ever happens I'll just start over but I do have some plans in my head so I won't sabotage myself. Sometimes I say to myself..."I do deserve to be a normal weight"...I'm getting there, slowly but surely! Hugs and special prayers for Pat recovering from  her surgery. Debbie

Good Morning Eileen, OFFrs,

Feeling kind of off today, , ,

I think I need some time to just do nothing, which is just not going to happen and my idea of doing nothing right now is about going through my house room, by room and dumping everything that is not necessary, but because I am sentimental, that is sooooooo hard to do, but my small house is making me feel cluttered and unable to function properly, this after I spent an entire day cleaning. . .perhaps it is just getting older, I just seem so scattered these days, like not having enough time to do what needs doing and a general feeling of dissatisfaction within my life, sorry to sound so negative, as the truth is I have much to be grateful for, but right now I'm feeling weighed down by all of what I've got, like to take Roxie and hit the highway, just start over somewhere, feeling very sad and like my life has the hampster effect. . .Tony is kind of what keeps me in place, as he seems the only person in my life that I can count on and even that is limited by distance and responsibilities. . .  don't like my job situation, don't like my family situation, don't like me much either, but there is hope in the fact that this too shall pass, as it usually does, just in a funk and need to get rid of the junk in my head, as well as the junk in my life.

Congrats on 181 days sober Monica, wishing the rest of you the best life has and the peace and strength to get through the more challenging aspects of life, thanks for listening. . .

Morning Eileen and OFF family!!

Well it is raining here in Ohio yet again! Its so saturated the ground squishes when I walk on it!! Hate when that happens!! I want nice warm weather here with the sun shine!!! Is that to much to ask for?? I guess...

Gas went up to $4.19 a gallon yesterday!! OMG!!!!!!!!!! I about freaked out at that price!!! How can people afford those prices??? Why can't the president do SOMETHING about the high prices????????

Got a nice letter in the mail yesterday also. Seems the pain drs office made a mistake. I now owe them $250.00 NOW!! Great!!! Do I have that money NOW? Not really. So there goes money on my credit card to keep them happy!!! GRRRRRRRRRRRRR

Mom is doing better. Talked to her last night. She is having a little pain under her arm she said but vicodin helps that. Said she is sleeping in her lazyboy chair. Nurse told her there is nothing wrong with that at all...just like I told her all along....mom is still wanting to go dancing on her 90th birthday...lol thnik we will just have some music at her party and we can dance there...call it good enough for her dancing. We will be having a BBQ at my brothers house and not sure who all will be there yet. Need to call brother Joe and talk party plans with him yet.

Tomorrow I am taking Bandit to get his haircut and bath which he needs big time!!! He looks like a woolly bear right now lol. I am off work tomorrow and thursday and need to get laundry done again...IF I can get to the laundry room before anyone else does!!! Tried last night but nope that was a no go!! Same as this morning...grrrrr I have no idea who has so many clothes they use is so much!!!

Well that is all I have to say so will get going...Thanks again for all the prayers and thoughts!!! :-)

Prayers and Thoughts going out to those that need them.

HUGS
