What Finally Friday New?

Good Morning OFF Family,
Up watching the wedding...beautiful bride and handsome groom.  Fairytales do come true for some.  I love Kate's earrings, not to mention the gown.

Today I have my AA meeting.  Then, I am taking a friend to the doctor and pharmacy, and store. 

Cleaning and rearranging things, because my son will be putting my window air conditioner in this weekend.

Struggling with hostility from my sister.  It has me really sad and discouraged.  I made a decision she did not like, and took personally, and she lashed out with snide remarks and sarcasm.  I had my part in it, I left her a message suggesting she get back to AA meetings because of her control issues.  She has not had a drink in over 21 years, but has not been to meetings in years.  She is a control freak, wanting to micromanage everything.

Sorry to vent.  My food has been good.  My weight is coming down again, after a stint where my foot was swollen from the surgery, and I was not as mobile.

Trish, I am so sorry about your problem with your Sister.family can be such a trial!
When I got home from the Dr. and WM yesterday I had a house full. My son's family of 4 and their 3 dogs. DIL was gonna make breakfast but everyone wanted to wait for G-Ma's biscuits and gravy. Their new bamboo floor is being installed and they have to stay off of it. Everyone was here til the installers left, and it was bedtime. They finished the living room and down one side of the hall. Son and DIL went home to go in the back door, climb over furniture, squeeze down the hall and sleep in their own bed. One grandson and 3 dogs stayed here. They will all be here all day today again. I changed the sheets on our bed so our son and DIL can sleep there tonight. His back is sooooo bad. But we have a sleep number bed, too, so he can adjust it for his back.
Yesterday we had bad weather again. This time everyone was ready in case of tornadoes. This time, just wind and rain! But we are all so sad to hear about the deaths in states to the west of us.
Watched some of the Royal Wedding, now I am on to my DVR shows. Relaxing before everyone gets here and wants food.

I too got up early at 4am to watch the wedding. Celebrating something positive....but am feeling sorrow with people down South, all those tornado's, death, destruction, pain. So indeed it was nice to watch the wedding and celebrate something happy.

Okay women, today we will all be Princesses! LOL
Wave, smile and lets have some celebration. To Us! To our new lives, our struggles and thank goodness we have this forum for support.

I went to my Bariatric Surgeon for my past 4 year check up. My labs were excellent. My weight is coming back down slowly. His only suggestion to me was to stick to 1200 calories and take a half hour to eat. Okay sometimes I do have to eat a little faster at work so I will make the effort to slow down. Surgery will again be in my future thanks to the adhesion's my body makes. I'm going to try and hold off for as long as possible...like at least 4 more years. Every time they cut me open for adhesion's...it just makes more. When I exercise don't drink as much water as I do (I usually drink 32 oz. of water during my spin workouts)...to drink water more though out the day to stay hydrated. Okay, I'll try that but dang, when you have a hard workout I need the water! LOL

Tomorrow is our Bariatric Reunion get together. I'm actually working at it, checking people in and for those who lost 100 pds. get a certificate and I fill their names doing my calligraphy. It should be fun, and nice to see people who haven't been attending our monthly support group.

Have a great weekend. I'm sure I'll be watching reruns of the Royal Wedding today after work.

Morning all. Sober 177 days and so proud of me.
 
Had a happy, fun meet and greet with Lynn, Carla, and Maddox, age 4 yesterday. Lynn is a beautiful, elegant women. Skin that glows and a ready, easy smile. Her happiness with her WLS journey is evident. I think it was fun for her to show off her new home town, Naples, FL to us. We had a delicious lunch at a local touristy cafe right on the inner waterway. Lynn brought us to a Naple's "landmark" store, The Best of Everything. Fun place, found a grea****ch $6 and $5 sunglasses. Maddox, Carla's nephew, was with us since his baby brother is in the hospital with pneumonia. Always giving Carla rushed into family action helping. Maddox is age 4, so handsome, so well-mannered, and southern proper already. He was a real trooper...we traveled 156 miles to Naples, went for lunch, then sightseeing, and shopping. He was never a problem, always patient. As a mom and Gmom, I am glad to see such a boy,boy in action. Carla is a remarkable Greataunt. She made sure he was safe, and having fun with 3 mature but giggly women. WE stopped at the Outlet stores in Miromar on way home and he got to play for 1/2hr and then Carla had promised him a visit to the HUGE ProBass Shop. I stayed in the car to rest my leg while they went in for his promised "shop".
One forgets how long Florida is. Our trip one way was 156 miles, so it did make for a long day and I was one pooped 63 year old. Resting leg, menthol on, hot packed, and ice packing now. It feels good this AM.

Watching the first "royal" kiss. Beautiful couple they are. Elegance and not overdone. Sitting here with a silly smile on my face, remembering childhood fantasies of prince and princesses and English history. Wearig my new, NOT VS bra and panties purchased at Bali outlet. I got 3 well fitting bras and 3 pairs panties at Bali outlet for less than the Traveling Bra cost alone.

Prayers to our nation and those affected by storms. Prayers for space shuttle Endeavor safe launch, hope the sky clears so we get a view. Thankful Gabbie Gifford is alive and able to be there.
Hope that all the family issues and dramas going on in our OFF family lives vanish. We are good people who have struggles within our journey here on earth, life is hard enough without added pain.

Monica, I love your daily count, and loved getting to meet you and Carla and Maddox! You are right he was an angel, putting up with Carla plus 2 grandma types! Thank you your kind words, too. I truly am happy with where this wls journey has taken me!

And for those who don't know Monica, she is clearly a very wise woman who speaks very thoughtfully and has many life experiences to share.

Thank you Lynn. Hubby added "she is also GREAT in the bedroom department". And thats all I'm going to say about that.

I had a great time too. I also Had Maddox today too. He was with me and his Grammy today. We went swimming in the pool where his Grammy lives and went hanging out in downtown Sarasota. 
Mom and baby brother are home today from the hospital. Camping is out for the weekend though.
We were supposed to go tomorrow.
Lynn It was great meeting you and i cant wait to get together again. my Ava mae wants to meet your Ava mae!!!!!

Hi Trish, family can be a pain sometimes. There is no such thing as a perfect family. I posted yesterday about Kaitlyn Van Sant. She is on the Guiding Light. I watched the day she went for her surgery and a few days after but I hate soap operas and stopped watching. She has lost 100 lbs. There is an article in In Touch magazine about her. Mona

Trish, I'm sorry about your issues with your sister.  I understand, have a lot of issues with my brother but too long to go into right now.

Working out all morning.  I've been doing way too much mindless eating at night and have gone up 5 pounds.  Need to take them off as they are above my comfort zone.  Don't know what's up with me right now, but I've got to figure out why I'm mindlessly eating.  So off to my elliptical, then weights, then walking with a friend.  Then I'm meeting two other friends for lunch.  Hubby and son are traveling to Turloc tonight for a soccer game in the morning, so it's just me, the dog and the cat tonight and probably some good sappy chick flick.

I did not get up at 1:30am to watch the royal wedding.  Saw the pics online.  Loved her dress.
