Vicki, Good job!! 40 pounds gone and not coming back!! No wonder younger women have the babies. They sure are a lot of work. Will remember Judy and her Mom in prayer. Thanks for the reminder.   Mag

Good morning Nancy and everyone....

Nancy...that funeral director should redo everything and give it all to you free.....sounds like they completely messed up everything!! Sorry you have to deal with this at such a hard time.

Gracie crawled in bed with me this morning...as usual. We had to get up and look for eggs and baskets. Easter mornings are wonderful with little ones around!!

Nic had a wonderful Birthday...his friends played pranks on him....one was his truck was "Silly Stringed"  you should have seen his face.....so funny!!

Have a wonderful day......Happy Easter!!

Prayers for those in need...a few special ones too!!

Love and hugs to all...connie d

It's Easter afternoon already. Ham is in the oven. Everything else is ready, or ready to be ready! Our son and DIL and younger grandson are taking the carpet up in the dining room, living room and hall. The new wood floor won't be installed till Thursday. But with work, it had to be done today. Spring break is this week, but our DIL is working anyway to get the school classrooms back together after the tornado. The oldest grandson and son have to work all week, and the younger grandson has a baseball tournament. I guess my DL and I are the only ones that are gonna have a Spring Break.
Nancy, I hope you and the funeral home have come to an understanding. Eileen, I hope your fibro flare is better.
I hope everyone is having a fantastic Easter.

Sober 172 days and so proud of me.

Finally home, just the 3 of us. Gone since 7, Mass, Siesta Key Beach with Huttmann family, swam with pods of dophins, huge beach picnic. Back to RV park, 3 boys fascinated w/ Gfathers treasures, off to hot tub, pool, dancing. Fun n sun,Happy Day.

Sorry you have to go through all the funeral palors mistakes. Everyone else sounds good.

Funny how hubby always says he wants to do stuff, so we DO stuff and he complains. Yes, we had a lot of food to prepare and lug around. But there were 6 others to help lug and carry stuff. 4 hours at the beach was enough, we are tan, but Huttman family not, so concerned about staying too long. Boys ready to come to campground and play with Yoda and at pool. They so enjoy Gfather and hung on his every word. Loved seeing and touching all the treasures he has and so proud of. Kinda like having our Gkids with us. The 3 boys love rocks and wanted to see and touch ALL the wonderful things Gfather loves.

I am wonderful and so happy. Leg did not bother me, used the canadian crutches and got along fine. Playing in the Gulf waters a total delight. Gentle surf, flat, fine beautiful sand, relaxing. The food so delicious prepared by us and their family. Had fresh FL grown tomatoes that I'd never had before. Soft skin, thick insides with such flavor and juice. Jenn told us were the secret veggie stand is and will go there tomorrow. They have veggies, fruits, cheese, meats, Amish run. Oh boy.

I am tired and will have a simple evening with cheeks that hurt in joy.

Hi Nancy,
I am so sorry you have had so much trouble with the funeral plans for your Mother.  That is just not right, and I am glad the owner is working to make things right for you.

My Easter was totally blessed.  Worship service was different, because it included dramatic presentations and dance.  Dinner was at my nephew's, where I brought two WLS friendly desserts, a cheesecake made with Splenda and low fat cream cheese and sour cream, and a cake called Angel Lush, made with a layered sugar free Angel Food cake, and filling made with sugar free vanilla pudding mix, crushed pineapple, in juice only, and sugar free Cool Whip.  The only dessert item that had sugar was a Chocolate Babka, that I tasted and loved.

I hope everyone had a great holiday, and has a great week.

Hugs,
Trish

So sorry about the funeral home, Nancy.  What a terrible time to screw things up when you are most vulnerable and sad.  Glad that everyone is having a great day with family.  I have had an interesting day by myself.  My husband is working and my sons are off doing their things.  I went to a different church than usual.  It is an Episcopal church and has a large and thriving congregation.  The priest is African American and has some gospel in him so we had quite a few "And the congregation says Amen"s  The service itself is bilingual so half of the readings and prayers are in English and half in Spanish.  All in all, a multicultuarl affair.  I thoroughly enjoyed it and also enjoyed how friendly everyone was.  Have a great evening, everyone.
