What's New on Easter Saturday
I am up early, because I fell asleep early last night. I totally missed my Phillies game, and those who know me, know I had to be tired to do that.
Today, I must hit my AA meeting, come Hell or high water. I also have a ham to roast for family, and some sugar free cheesecakes to bake. Also, some strawberries to slice up and put on top of those cheesecakes.
I am so looking forward to Easter service tomorrow. I have missed church for over a month because the service was at 9:15 and I just could not get moving by that time. How I used to get my kids to Sunday School years ago is a miracle. Now, services will be at 10:30, with coffee/fellowship at 10:00. I am thrilled. I love the Lord, and I love to worship, and I love my church family.
Happy Easter.
Hugs,

I get up every morning determined to both change the world and have one hell of a good time. Sometimes this makes planning my day difficult.

This is the first day since Tuesday I feel totally normal. Having a band too tight is no fun. Not being able to eat or drink for 3 days is also no fun. I lost some weight though! I expected to see the scales inched back up a tad this morning. But no. Yesterday I was still feeling rather wrung out, but I drank a ton of water. I was still on clear liquids, too. Thank heaven for protein bullets.
I have also missed my morning treadmill walks. I NEVER thought I would ever say that! Back to it this morning and just that perked me right up.
I have to run to the Walmart. Since my NC grandsons are too old for Easter baskets, I fill plastic eggs with money and hide them in the back yard. I usually have all that prepared by now, but my week was a total loss.
My DIL asked me to make new chair seat things for her patio chairs. They are just picnic table chairs with like mesh. They are so old and weathered the mesh is pulling apart and she is concerned about someone ripping all the way through. She bought some new chairs at Target in bright colors, but my son noticed the old ones came apart and new cloth could be put in. So she bought some very bright outdoor fabric and I am working on that for her. They open the pool May 1st usually and I want to have them done by then.
I think we may all go out for Easter dinner. Their dining room is still full of stacked flooring (to be installed Thursday), and I just don't feel like cooking!
I LOVE t-shirts with fun sayings on them. I ordered a bunch they had on clearance from the Collections Catalogue. I will wear a new one today: Sarcasm, one more service I provide!
Have a fantabulous day!
Since I am married to the "I can fix everything with Duct Tape King", I got to thinking of somehow making those new chair pads out of long tubes of rolled duct tape and weaving them together.Too much time on my hands.
We saw a great T-shirt on a guy here....."fixing the world with duct tape one wrap at a time".
Good Morning Everyone,
I've been MIA for a while now. Just finished up my substitute job at school yesterday. At 9am this morning I am due to head to Missouri to visit my aunt and cousin for a week. . . Lambert Field in ST. Louis to be exact! So far I don't see anything about my flight being rerouted but anything could happen.
I'm not taking my laptop; traveling as light as possible so unless I get a chance to pop on my cousin's computer I won't be around much. I have a bit of a sinus/cold thingy going on. Think I'll drug myself, take a Draamine and hopefully sleep some.
Nancy, my mom died 4 years ago today. You are in my thoughts. Nothing helps but time.To everyone else take care.

Jan, I got as far as Seattle yesterday. My son picked me up on his way to my daughter's south of Seattle for a visit. He spent the night. We'll try again today. The flight schedule SAYS I'll leave at 11:35 am and arrives St. Louis 5:20pm. . . . Flights are arriving but not many are departing.
I had planned to have dinner with my mom's youngest sister (almost 90) and her family today. My cousin Pat is my "sister from another mother" as Laureen would say. I'll just be there a week so won't be able to visit family in Arkansas or you or Jeannie as I'd love to.
We hope to visit a friend in Springfield towards the end of the week. I know you are probably just a couple of hours from there, but doubt seriously if we'll get that far.. When are you hoping to leave for Honduras? Mike and I will be in St. LOuis in late Sept hoping to also spend a few days in Arkansas.
I have an alert on the flight but we need to leave here in Chehalis by 8am so probably won't hear til we're almost at the airport.
I forgot about spring storm season. I'm always just wanting to avoid the heat of July and August!
