Freaky Friday What's New?
Nancy, so sorry about your Mom. I know all the details that come after can be very trying, too. My Momma's birthday would have been this week. She has been gone 2 years now, Dad, 3 years and I still miss them everyday!
I was totally unfilled yesterday. What a relief! But now I have to wait a month to start getting filled again. Because of all the trauma and swelling, I couldn't even keep water down with just 1cc in the band! I hate this roller coaster. Why can't it just get right in 3 fills like it did when I first got the dang thing? So I have to try will power for a month. We all know how well that works! I'm trying some yogurt with fresh raspberries now and it tastes sooooo good. But, I can feel I won't be able to get the entire thing down in one sitting. I'll have the rest later.
Not planning anything exciting for Easter. Our son and DIL's dining room is full of stacks of wood flooring waiting to be installed. They usually do Easter. Our son's back is getting worse and he has an MRI scheduled for next month. The military takes it's sweet time
getting these things taken care of!
Everyone have a fantabulous day!

Hi Trish,
I hope you are feeling better soon. My chemo treatment was uneventful today. After a two hour nap I was ready to go. Went to both our banks and made deposits. My short term disability is in check form, they don't direct deposit. Then I went to Home Goods. Next Saturday our Red Hat group is having a tea with a raffle. I got a footed clear glass container with a lid to make a terrarium for the raffle. I tried to stop Treeland that sells all kinds of trees and bushes to get a gift certificate for my sister and her husband. They lost some bushes due to breakage this year. They are the ones *****modeled our bathroom for us so this will be part of our thank you.
I sent each of my grandkids $10 in a card for Easter.
Tomorrow I need to get out and get gas before my trip to RI for my foster daughter's wedding.
Easter morning I'll put together the broccoli casserole for dinner at my Mom's. Right now I'm off to make a carrot cake with cream cheese frosting for an Easter dessert. While I'm in the kitchen I'll make some cookie bars for the wedding too.
First I need to go throw some clothes in the wash.
Good night everyone. Healing thoughts to those that need them.
Hugs,
Bev

Hi Bev,
Sounds like you are living a pretty full life, in spite of the chemo. That inspires me to move forward, regardless of my minor pains.
Thanks and Happy Easter.

Seek always to do some good, somewhere. Every man has to seek in his own way to realize his true worth. You must give some time to your fellow man. For remember, you don't live in a world all your own. Your brothers are here too.

Hi Trish,
I always get my chemo treatments on Friday mornings and they IV includes steroids. So they don't wear off until Sunday afternoon. That's when I start to crash. Then I take it easy on Monday. Tuesday through Thursday I feel better and then Friday it starts all over again.
I try to get as much done as I can when I feel good.
I have been keeping to myself and getting more depressed so I decided I just have to get out more. So I am.
I've had the SynVisc shots to my left knee. It's a series of three a week apart. The first two were nothing. But they must have made my swelling go down because shot number three hurt like hell. I grabbed the table and grimaced. But I really wanted to scream. The SynVisc lasted about six months but they are very expensive. Luckily my insurance covered it. My weight loss surgery is what did the trick for helping my knees. They are doing much better with a lighter me.
I hope the steroids give you some relief.
Hugs,
Bev
