Hi Carolyn and all my OFF friends,
My former foster daughter is having a thrown together wedding on Sat. at 4:00 p.m. in R.I.  I'm hoping the steroids I get with chemo will give me the energy to get through it.  It's a two and a half hour drive - one way.  Her Mom is 3 days out of detox from heroine so she will not attend.  It's sad how drugs destroy families.  I will go and represent her side of the family.  It will be the first time I get to meet her 4 month old baby girl Alayha.  I'm so excited.
Easter will be spent with my Mom and Sister.  I'm going to make a broccoli casserole.
I'm having one of those days where I'm really hungry but I can't figure out what to eat that will satisfy me.  It's like having a craving you can't identify.  So I drink water instead.
Not much else going on with me.  The weather is making me want to work outside instead of inside.
I hope everybody starts to feel better.
Hugs,
Bev

Hi Nan,
Great to be back.  Unfortunately, the cancer has made me a night owl and not a morning person anymore.  So it's 8:00 p.m. or later when I'm checking in.
Hugs to you and thanks for all the thoughts and prayers.  I need them.
Bev

Hi Everyone,
I hope that everyone is getting their medical issues resolved as I type.
Spring vacation is almost here for me. I just finished testing the last child that HAD TO BE DONE before vacation. WHEW! I have a few more to do in May, but the worst is over now!
My nephew is home from the hospital too. The neurotoxins from the snake did a number on his leg muscles, but he is alive and can build the muscles back in time. All is good.
I'm getting ready to leave for an afternoon meeting with our other speech therapists and our boss.
Oh- I looked at our cherry tree yesterday and we have an absolute bumper crop of Bings this year. They always get ripe on my birthday... but only last a few weeks. They are delicious for that amount of time though.

We are in SC. An hour early, but that's just how we roll.
I had to stop 3 times on the way down to trow up my saliva, sorry, graphic!
We are at a Starbucks while my DH has coffee and I try to get more stuff up in their bathroom.
I don't ever want to be this miserable again! But I don't want him to unfill me too much. We will stay overnight on the way home.
I hope everyone else is feeling better

Hello Grammylew and everyone....better late then never I guess!!

Grammylew....I sure hope by now you are feeling better.

Monica...hope you are feeling better too!

Busy day as always....always seems so late by the time I can get on here anymore. Gracie keeps me so busy!!

We are so excited as my wonderful grandson Nic turns 18 on Saturday. As most of you know this is quite an accomplishment. He wasn't suppose to live to 4...then 8....then 16....now he will be 18 and graduating in a few weeks. Thanks be to God and all you wonderful friends that have kept him in your prayers these last few years. We are BLESSED!!! What a special celebration this will be!!

Wishing you all a great evening.....prayers for many in need.

Love and hugs to all....connie d

To Grammylew, Monica and Trish,  I am sending prayers up for all of you as soon as I get done w/ this post. I'm sorry that you all are having a rough time of it.
I had my first balance therapy to day. I was there 2 and 1/2 hour. Not hard. Just no fun. I forgot to take my6 water w/ me, but it didn't matter because I was too nauseated to eat or drink. I'm not suppose to be driving, but there was no one to take me. They turn my head one direction and I have to hold that pose. (they are holding my head in their hands. My head is off the end of the table.) I can't move until I can't stand the dizziness or nausea any more. Then I rest 5 minutes and we do it again. The therapist got me up on the left side of the treatment table and I almost fell over. He caught me. Lie back down, do more head positions and rest 5 minutes. When I got up one the right side of the table I was OK. He wanted to call someone to come and get me, but there was no one I knew that could have done that. Had terrible motion sickness on the way home. Got off the highway and took the back-roads to home. (I always carry plastic bags w/ me just in case.) Didn't vomit until I got home. Will find someone to take me next week. I have to move my bedroom furniture around because he said I must sleep on my right side and get up on the right side. Can't do that the way it is arranged. Also, no looking down (right) and no moving my eyes or neck to the left. Who thinks up these things? lol. And I thought my RNY was life changing. Tee-Hee. Every one take care.    Mag
