SATURDAY, WHAT"S NEW???

vickie i'm with monica-excited for you that hubby is home safe and thrilled to bits for the pot pie!!!
and i DO think anything is possible in regard to the contest!!!!!! positive thoughts and a request for the recipe-

I'm being very lazy today- just resting after my trying day yesterday.  I'm drinking tea with dogs at my feet. I have to do our taxes today. I should do laundry too- almost out of panties... :) that is not good! Our sunny day is perfect- about 73 degrees.

    It's a quiet Saturday in AZ. Beautiful weather. Nice to sit in the backyard where the shade is. I promised myself I would do laundry today, but haven't started it yet. I'd rather take a nap. That's one way to ignore dirty clothes. lol
   Vicki, I bet that pot pie is wonderful. Yes, I would like the recipe. Good luck w/ the contest.  Glad you and hubby are able to go to the lakehouse. Enjoy.

Taking a short break at work while I wait for copy. Still no phone, Internet or cable at home. Judy, I hope all goes well with your mom. Monica, glad all items were recovered.

Not much happening with me. A couple more days til vaca ... can't wait. Any Texas folk, I'll be in Dallas next week starting Thursday.

Hey Judy and fellow Offers,

Today was nice.  I took my grandkids to Steak And Shake.  They both ordered the hotfudge shakes; used to be my favorite.  Anyway, I really wanted a drink, so I took a sip of my granddaughter's.  It took us ten minutes to drive home, and let me tell you, I threw my guts out.  I should have known better.  But, I thought one drink. Ever since surgery, I have not only been lactose intolerrant, b ut I'm also not able to drink or eat anything sweet.  So, I had wondered if it had changed--nice to say, nope.  Still cannot drink suagar or sweets.

 It's late and I have taken my allergy meds so I'm headed to bed.  I hope you guys have restful sleep. 

 

Good day for me as well.  I started off the morning in the gym, then went to Starbucks at an outdoor mall and sat under an umbrella and read.  What a treat.  Then I got my hair done  (dang those roots).  Finished the day off at Outback Steakhouse to have dinnre with a friend we have not seen lately.  It was great to catch up.  Now, off to bed.  I get to sleep in in the morning. Whoopee!
