Thursday - SUP

Hi All,
I'm sitting here eating leftovers from two days ago for lunch. My food bill has sure gone down since weight loss surgery. Today I have two meetings after school. Then I need to go to Costco and pick up a cake and pie for the funeral tomorrow. Tonight is the visitation and rosary. I'm going to both- tonight I want to go and get close to her to say goodbye. I wanted to do that while she was alive but this will work. She will hear me. I have her picture up here on my marker board near my computer and every so often I talk to her... yes, I'm crazy! I'm just saying goodbye- while she was sick I just wrote her notes and stuck them in cards. she wanted to feel involved in our lives even when she was too sick to participate. Anyway, life goes on... these children always help my mood. Thinking of you all...

Nah, you're not crazy. I have my Mom and Dad on my screen saver. When they come by I say hi. Lots of times I think I have got to tell Mom about..... So, I do. My Sis does the same thing.
I am glad you will have a chance to go and 'see her off'. She will know!

Julia,  Just remember that funerals are for the living.  Your sweet friend is dancing in Heaven right now.  Better life!

Hello and good afternoon everyone...

Wow where did the day go!! I am picking Grace up from school in a few minutes. Then I am coming home to finish packing. Then dropping Grace off at her mom's work place and I am heading to MN.  I am going up for a long weekend. I may not be checking in here until Monday so no one worry. I can't wait to see my friends.....so much planned!!!  Yes... at least 5 pairs of stiletto heels packed to party on!!

Thank you for the welcome.  This seems like a great place for info, support, and companionship.  I am sorry your Mom is having problems, Judy.  I will keep y'all in prayer.  I love it that you talk about your dogs because I am an animal lover too.  We have two dogs and two cats, not what we aimed for, but needy pets keep coming into our lives.  I am very excited to be going through this process.  I should have done it years ago, but maybe I wasn't ready.  After all, I have lost weight many times before only to gain it back.  I have to get my head in the game for good this time.  Thanks for listening (reading ).

Yep. Mag!  You get the gold star.  Most people just think I have some weird screen name.  On one board, my friends always call me V-narn.  I work for a VNA (visiting nurse association) and I am an RN.
