Nancy,

Just now reading your post today.  I'm so sorry for your loss.  I know how it feels to lose a parent.  But you're right--your mom has shrugged off her tired, worn out body and is free from all that pain and care.  She is in a better place now!  May you find peace and comfort from knowing she and your dad are reunited again.

Love,

Vickie

I am so sorry to read of your mom's passing Nancy. Please push the quilt away that you feel; I have learned that God puts us where he wants us to be...and being anywhere else would be just interferring with His plan for us.  Sometimes it's not about us at all but for someone else to learn a 'lesson' of life...as I'm sure your wonderful son Derek was given such a beautiful experience...to share his love of his grandmother with her.  I pray that your family finds comfort and peace knowing God loves you.
Hugs

Nancy, your words were beautiful and I hope you will read them at the memorial service. She knew how much you loved her by how you cared for her. That special tea you had a while back for her birthday ...  you put so much effort and time into preparing that. She appreciated that. Even though you weren't there, you were there in spirit. She felt your love.

I'm going to say the same thing to you I said to Julia ... do you believe in dreams? Do you see the people you loved in your dreams? I still have dreams of my dad, and he's been gone since 1984. They usually happen when I'm troubled about something ... it's like he's guiding me somehow from beyond.

Your mom will still be with you in your heart.
