Up late, can't sleep, what's new on Wednesday?
Hi my OFF family:
Can't sleep ... I had the day off and was up early with my cleaning fairy here. I feel sorry for her ... she has it worse than I do. Anyway, she got her stuff done ... she does such a good job and I have less cat hair in the apartment after she's done. I couldn't do it by myself.
Then I had to run and do some errands ... went to get my La. license plates, thought I had a title, but damn Michigan never sent me my title after I paid off my loan that my car was held for collateral. So all I had was a photocopy and the DMV wouldn't take that. So now I have to have someone in Mich. get me a duplicate title and then overnight it to me. Kinda pain, plus an expense since they should've sent it to me ... told the Mich. sec. of state rep when I talked to her. She said "Oh, sometimes they don't send those out." Well, they should ... it's legally mine, and now I have to pay to get it.
So after sitting on hold three times for 20, 15 and 10 minutes. ... that was the answer I got. Then I had to go back out and finish my running around ... then got Chinese food for dinner. Still didn't do laundry other than my sheets.
Such was my fun day. Maybe that's why I can't sleep. I started to get sleepy here, now I'm getting hot again ... it's 2:30 and 57 degrees outside.
Anyway, whatcha up to? I'll check back later. I think I'm going to try to sleep again.

Laureen I'm with you ...I keep asking Annette...what did we do to **** of Mother Nature so badly????? Enough snow and cold weather already.
Yesterday was my annual observation at school...I just love it. I am the ONLY teacher in the entire area that is certified to teach the deaf and hard of hearing. The administrator who observed me is a former music teacher. I wonder if she really understood what I do at all...ah welll..thats life.
Well..I'd better get myself ready for school.
Eileen good luck with DMV...similar situation happened to me when I moved here from New Mexico only it was my 3 kids birth certificates that the state neglected to give me..cost me a lot of money to order them and get them shipped to NY.

More on the tale of the DMV ...this morning my friend in Michigan called me at 8:30 a.m. ... 9:30 Michigan time. She had gone first thing in the morning with what I had sent her via e-mail and the $20. Well, the clerk said the form had to be filled out in ink and "I can tell this was filled out in pencil." Gayle had filled out her part in pencil, but I had filled out my part in pen ... don't own any pencils, haven't for years. But when you scan anything in, even if it's written in ink, it looks like black pencil. So she wanted me to fax it to her. So I had to get dressed, go out to Office Depot, pay $2.89 to fax it to the Sec. of State in Michigan, wait for Gayle to go back and make sure they got the fax so she could get the title.
Can I just yell AAAAARRRRGGGGHHHH!!
OK, I feel better now. And that was after I didn't sleep well, didn't get to sleep until after 4 a.m. I even showed it to the Office Depot agent, who said it was written in ink ... so I wrote that on the form to the Sec. of State's office. I wanted to say, "You idiots ... don't you know that any digital copy is going to look the same?" (and that's what the Office Depot agent said, too).
I felt sorry for my friend, too, who had to go through all this for me. It's cost me money, her time and gas (I'm going to send her a little extra for her time and gas ... she has been unemployed since she took the buyout from the Press two years ago, other than working odd jobs and working in the spring/summer for this gardening group).
Oh well, it's done now. I hope I can get a nap in before work tonight. If I hadn't gotten the phone call, I would've been woken up by the guys working outside on the fences.

Good Morning Eileen and Laureen,
I am up earlier than planned. Utley desperately needed to go potty. I hate getting all my winter gear on at this point in the season. When Spring finally gets here, it will be Summer.
I was on the phone with my daughter last night, and she is having a horrible time with her teaching job. She lives in Michigan, and teaches in a small school district and believes the principal if out to get her. She desperately wants to move out here but needs to secure a teaching job first. I hate seeing her so close to having a meltdown over her job, and I remember having similar meltdowns about my teaching career on many occassions.
Today has me unsure of my one plan. I am scheduled for a job interview, but forgot to ask how many hours the job is, because I can't work full time at this point. It is down in the city, and I really am unsure if it is the best thing for me at this time.
If I don't have the interview, I will hit the Salvation Army for clothes for my grandchildren. Was there about a month ago, and Mom got a bunch of stuff for my granddaughter, but since learned my grandson will need winter stuff in 3T, and thought it might be a good time to find that size. Today is half-price day on most items, so I could get some bargains.
I also need to haul butt to an AA meeting, as I have been delinquent in that realm lately.

MMM, I feel very ecclesiastic in my color choice today, it is Lent after all.
Sober 147 days and so proud of me.
Sleep was elusive for me also. Fell asleep on couch about 10:30, woke at midnight, went to bed, laid awake for 51 minutes, went back to couch and TV, woke up at 3 and slept until 7. I will be a semi-poopy droopy today.
Marcy...Love what you said "....just remember..if you can't control it ..don't sweat it and don't let it control you :)" I have always let the can't control it control me. Incorporating your statement into my heart, body and soul is what I am working on.
T'storms and rain still in forecast. Still need it bad here. Humid and warm, not complaining really.
Not much planned. The resort is clearing out as the Northern Migration to summer feeding grounds has begun. Remember to be aware of the migration herds, they deserve safe passage home.

Baby it's cold outside! 22 degrees here in central PA! I am looking forward to returning to FL in a couple of weeks!
Interesting day for me. I have been up and working since 5. Knocking off at noon to go for a consult with a plastic surgeon. Not sure I am going that route, but it is worth having the info.
And have to call the IRS about last years rerun. Now that sou ds like fun, no?
