Hey, TGIF. . . where is everyone? Whatcha doing today?
8:16 and no one posted the What's new thread? Ok, I like reading about your lives and feeling the connection, so I will start us up. . .
Today is end of work week and looking forward to an AA Convention in my area this weekend, have not been to one in many years, it is a great way to shore up my recovery and interact with others, starts today, ends Sunday a.m.
Otherwise all quiet.
Have a great day, wishing peace and strength to those going through bigger life challenges.
Hugs, Laureen

This is a quiet morning here! Just a quick runby from Owes this am. heading out real soon here to do the usual payday stuff. Sure hope hubby goes back to work soon! He is driving me and himself crazy! But we are so lucky to have short term disability so we are OK financially for a few more weeks if he cant go back yet.
Prayers going up from our house to all of yours!
Have great Friday and a good weekend everyone!
since i am on MY computer all of the keys work and the type doesn't keep jumping lines so i can write for a minute!
so today i need to get off of here and get to reorganizing my space- i am planning on doing some switching out of rooms- decided to take the back bedroom- formerly the computer/bird room--and make it into a cozy bedroom with room for a closet-have been here over a year with no closet and frankly am tired of it!
then i need to paint and also the living room -not even to mention what i need to do in the kitchen! oh gosh 3 weeks of non stop work for me! most of you could do it all in 1 day!!! also mom and i are heading to salvation army to drop of a few bags of my stuff- and to pick up a pair of curtains i shoulda bought yesterday when i was there! hate when i do that!!!
so- need to get outta here and get my arse in gear -hugs and prayers
I get up every morning determined to both change the world and have one hell of a good time. Sometimes this makes planning my day difficult.

Good Morning Everyone,
A quick drive by. Just 6am here Pacific time so still too early to see what it's like . Last night spent packing as I leave for Seattle at 1pm.I'll leave school an hour early in order to arriver there in time for a 6pm (Dinner?) bridal shower.
My daughter is meeting me up there and I'll follow her back home, 90 miles south, before coming back to Seattle Sunday afternoon. Can't wait to have my PS consultation on Monday morning concerning excess skin in thigh and arm areas.
I made and froze a big pot of chili to take to Erin's as they are still in the moving in (mostly still fine tuning things at the remodeled house) process. So many little things to take of and so little time to actually do it. Hope I'll be able to help some.
Better hit the shower and get to school so that I can leave my Monday plans in good order. Have a great weekend eveyone. I have a bright red tulip blooming and my ornamental plum tree burst into blooms yesterday. I'm a happy girl!

I am going out for the first time since my surgery today. I have to get bloodwork done, and see my surgeon for my first post-op visit. Other than that, nothing exciting. I spend my days, since the surgery, with my foot elevated, watching the TV and knitting. I cooked meals over the weekend, and ate them up, so I need to stop on the way home at Boston Market to get some supper. My doctor's office is in the same shopping center, so that makes it convenient. Plus, I have a coupon. Love saving money.
Talk to you later.
Hugs,

Back from Yoda walk, the great squirrel and lizard hunter had fun. We bring little treats and hide them in tree holes down at his level. Cute to see him checking these spots for them.
Hot here already, pollen still thick. WE need rain!!
Not much planned for today. Had a Stupid Monica Trick last night. Decided to have a cuppa coffee late afternoon, got the foamies and then couldn't get to sleep, so I am very tired now.
Hope all have a good Friday. Connie and Debbie must be tired too with all the moving, packing, unpacking and stuff, remember to be good to yourselves. Hugs, Monica
You said in one of your earlier posts that you were in SW Florida. Exactly where?, I lived in Cape Coral for several years before returning to Houston. I have not been on the site too often lately so if you already gave a report of your visit with Carla and Candy forgive me for asking again. What did you guys do besides chat of course? I am sure you had a awesome time.
congratulations on your 142 days of sobriety. That is a great accomplishment.
Thanks to you and Karen for all of the good thoughts for Tom's job and my parent's health.
It is beautiful here and I'm trying hard not to get my hopes up and just enjoy the moment and the little adventure that Tom and I have been given.
I am going to have a little computer time and maybe watch an episode of the final season of The Tudors on my computer with Netflix. Then head out to the town to explore. This evening we have dinner with some of the people that Tom interviewed with today.
Please cross all toes and fingers, swing those chickens, say prayers and send positive thoughts our way. We Really want to get this job, it would be a dream come true.
My eyes are drooping shut so maybe a little nap before I explore. Oh, I made a rhyme!
Take Care all,
Cheryl
