Good morning Darlin'

The protein shakes were good. I had forgotten that I actually enjoy them. They are quick, easy and no cooking involved.

B - cottage cheese & berries
L & D - protein shake

Annette, just a little sisterly concern    You can't be trying to lose more weight, so why the protein shakes?  Are you OK?  Now I'm being nosey - what kind of shakes do you drink, RTD or home made?

Debbie,
I got some Whey Protein from GNC - rather tasy to me. Food seems to go in one end and out the other lately - sorry for TMI - the shakes tend to bind me up a bit.
Tom had the same thought and gave me the  EVIL EYE. He would be happy if I gained a few pounds. Gain is a 4 letter word!!
I appreciate your concern.
Kisses

Gain may be a four letter word, but so are kiss, hugs, care, and love and that's what I'm sending you.

Linda,

In 6th grade, I would pig out on cinnamon toast, heavy on the butter and sugar.

I went to see my mom yesterday.  She was beside herself because it had snowed.  "How can it snow in the middle of summer?" she said.  I told her it's March.  She said, "Oh, that's OK then."

B: chai tea protein shake
S: iced skinny latte
L: egg salad
S: yogurt
D: creamy Parmesan shrimp, green beans
S: chocolate protein bar

LOL.Jean, your mom is at peace with her realities. The disease could put her in a very unpeaceful place,I saw this when I was doing payroll for a company. That is something good, and having YOU is good, she is a lucky lady.
I hope the babies are fine, and staying out of trouble!

Good morning folks, I am still here.........lurking.  Still on my Dr supervised diet, and not doing very well.  I just kind of feel like at this point I am living in a void, waiting.  then also I begin to wonder.........do I really want to do this?  I am scared.

On a different note, I get to be a grandma again!  Our oldest son and wife are having another baby.  Their first little one is only 10 months old now.......she will be 18 month when new baby is born!  What fun!!  My grandbabies are so so important to me.

Hugs.............V

V - (sorry but I don't remember your name)

Congratulations for the new grand. My daughter had hers 18 months apart. It was rough in the beginning but gets better all the time.

We are all rather scared before WLS - that is common. I was MORE afraid of staying Super morbidly obese. My surgeon wouldn't even consider me until I lost weight. He felt the risk was too great. So, I considered the supervised diet as my WLS Internship. That made it easier to tolerate.

Weighing 207 pounds less makes it so much more fun to play with the babies. I couldn't have done anything but sit and look at them before. Now I can romp and run and do all sorts of fun grandma things with them.<-- even jump on a trampoline

Hang in there.
