What's New for Sunday?

Hi ! !

I can't believe a thread has not been started for today.  It is almost 2 a.m. and here I sit wide awake.

I've been busy the last week with my sewing groups.  Every year a Sewing Expo comes to town.  People, vendors and National Sewing Teachers come from all over the U.S. and canada for four days of fun.

There is so much to do, see, buy, and learn that I am on overload.  Some of the most fabulous fabric, notions, and accessories are found here.  I was talking to one lady who comes every year from Virginia just to shop and take classes.  Thousands of women everyday for four days.

I love to sew and am in the process of remaking sweatshirts for little girls to sell on Itsy.  It's so much fun or should I say sew much fun to decorate the tops.

My mom is still at my sister's taking care of her.  She had an infection in the tissue between the skull and brain.  She's doing better but mom will be staying until April.  I don't like living alone.  I use to think I could handle it but, no, I don't do well.

Enough for now.....  Have A Fun Day Filled With Laughter

Good morning to you, Millie and all my OFF family.

This morning it is snowing just a bit. Flurries just flurrying around I guess you would call it. Nothing much but I don't think that it is going to amount to anything. I didn't get to the weather last night and all my weather channel screen says is flood warnings. It has been saying that for a couple of days. I already know there is flood warning so let's get on to something different weather channel screen!

Ran around yesterday afternoon and finally got home about 6. Boy was I tired. I was not in a good mood at all yesterday and I am sure it showed on my face. Even Bill steered away from me. He is sometimes and that is just sometimes a smart man in those cases. Other times he just ignores the bad mood and then just makes it worst. Oh well, that day is over and I hope that it is a better one.

I have church this morning and I have to get my great niece. She is acolyting today and again in 2 weeks. She can only go to church with me every other Sunday because the other Sunday's she is at her dad's and he won't give an inch for anything. The poor kid didn't even get to go to the family Christmas party because of that. Brittany loves going to church and loves to acolyte. I am going to see about sending to camp this summer. I am going to ask her is she would like that and then see just what I can do about that. I think it would do her a world of good.

A woman from our church passed away the other day and her viewing is today. I should go but sometimes I just have a problem doing things like that. I do have to buy 5 loaves of bread today to take to the church for the funeral dinner. I should get that before I go to church and then I am not going to have to do it tomorrow.

I better get going. I hope that everyone has a special day today. I am sending love and lots of big Brenda hugs and don't forget to smile pretty today. I am sending prayers and special thoughts for everyone who wants them.

It's not what you gather, but what you scatter
that tells what kind of life you have lived.

Millie -
Crafty activities have always been my favorite - except for sewing. It just frustrates me trying to thread a needle. The sewing expo sounds like fun, even for a non - sewer.

I felt antsy last evening and wanted to walk. Tom had his nose in a book so I put on my coat, (over my jammies) and decided to go walk through Walmart. Naturally I ran into people I know. If I'm all spruced up I don't see anybody.

This is going to be a lazy day. Too cold to be outside.

Kisses
Annette

Annette,
It must be in the air!!!!! I was fiesty also last night. Tevia was being a little sh&^ and jumping from window to window. He fell off the windowsill and it was a hard one. He meowed for a while. I had to rub his back leg and well lets say butt. Carl thought it was funny.
of course he was looking for the geckos.
I talked to Pat anderson on facebook for a long while last nite and also my other friend.
Today Im going shopping for some stuff to take to Denver for my friend.
Thats all for me.

Good Morning everyone.
The weather here is terrible. It's all rainy and the wind is blowing. And of course I'm cold. We have some winter storm warning for our area. Calling for snow. We will have to wait and see. We will probably get flurries.

Just seems like a lazy day today. I will probably be a couch potato. I don't want to go out in this windy, rainy weather. I may melt.

I hope everyone has a good day. Take it easy and relax.
Teresa
Update: Well, I was wrong. It's snowing. It has been since this afternoon. The ground is covered.
My dog Shadow has been acting all crazy. This is her first snow. She was sitting on the porch trying to bite the snow flakes. lol. She takes off running out in it then comes straight back. She doesn't know what to think. It's fun watching her play.
It's 9:45 here and it's still snowing. It is really pretty, big flakes.
We will have to see how long it lasts now.

I'm home for a while from church and Bible Class, but have to go back for a voter's meeting at 12:00......

There are light snow flurries here and the sun is trying to peek out, but it's very cold......what's new!

Will relax this afternoon -- no****ching golf as Tiger Woods got beat already on Friday, so he's not playing.
Probably will finish a book I started the other day.
Book Club members will be here at 6:30 for our meeting.

Hope everyone has a nice day.  Have a safe flight, Carla.

Aloha Millie and OFF sibs.......I feel guilty complaining about my weather after reading about your snow and COLD temps. BUT......it is COLD here, too...and WINDY!! The ocean is choppy and the wind is rattling my louvered glass side windows like crazy. Instead of sitting here in my usual skimpy nightgown...I have on a long robe, slippers and a fuzzy nightshirt! We are so spoiled in the tropics.......and complain terribly when the temps get in the 60's!!

Yesterday I went over to my neighbors to see a new table that had been made for her by her DIL's uncle. He's a master carver and had created this amazing table that was a octopus on the top, and a turtle around the bottom. She put a large piece of glass on top, and it's now her coffee table. The man is a master carver and this is a treasure!! He lives in Lahaina and carves out under a tree so the visitors can watch. How I love local art and creations!

Thankfully, I am crawling out of the hole I have been in lately....emotionally. If any of you has ever been depressed....you know how differently life can look through depressed eyes as opposed to happy to be alive eyes! I guess it's good to have the whole range of emotions so that I can understand when others feel that way....but it's no fun to go through.

You have all been part of my days........good or bad. I feel so lucky to have this little family living in my bedroom with me...... When I'm down I come in and read about your lives....and it always helps.

Now it's almost sunrise, and I'm going to take coffee out on the lanai and read the Sunday paper with the whales. I hope your day is wonderful, and that something magical happens for you.

Aloha nui loa,

Maui Karen

hello! actually i did sleep in til about 830 and it felt good

watched all 6 of the love saga movies yesterday on hallmark-i enjoyed them....sometimes a bit farfetched but all in all good...

this morning i googled jamestowne cuz i got thinking that the mayflower society should be superceded by jamestowne- well-there IS a society and i can prove lineage to at least 3 folk there!!! they eventually all go down to one direct ancestor of mine- my 2nd DAR Patriot but i can trace back to Captain James Davis ( a Sea Captain) who was very instrumental in the founding of Jamestowne...and a colony in Maine before that !!!whooo hoooo--now that and a quarter won't get me coffee --but for someone who didn't know anything of her family til 10 years ago-well- it's important--unfortunately it has my brain on total overload again!!!!!!!!!!!

michael wants to make a freecycle trip today but i am trying to hold it off til after work tomorrow-cuz i don't wanna get dressed today....

needing to do the sundayshowerbeforeworkthing...

it's about 24* here....
hugs and prayers.........

I get up every morning determined to both change the world and have one hell of a good time. Sometimes this makes planning my day difficult.
