What's New Friday?

Hi.  It's been hectic around here and I'm only just now checking OFF for Thursday and see that no one has started Friday's thread.  Hope you had a good day on Thursday.

What are your plans for Friday?

We'll be doing grocery shopping and other errands and then I'm not sure what else.  We have a little more than a week to go before we return to CA to finish up my mother-in-law's stuff there.  We had to do something similar for my mother nearly 3 years ago and I've been wracking my brain trying to remember all the steps we went through then so that I won't miss anything this time around.

I'm saddened to read that Laureen's Dillinger has an aggressive form of cancer but am happy to know that they are together for whatever time he has remaining.

Take good care, everyone and have a good day on this Friday.

Good morning Cindy and all.

Just got to work a few minutes ago.  Went to the Stars game.  They lost 3-1, but outshot the other team 40-22.  Hit the post 4 times in one game.

Went home and watched Survivor before taking my nap.  Then on to work.

Good thing is, I will be leaving in 3 hours 40 minutes.

GOD BLESS AMERICA!!!!!

Good Friday morning Cindy and everyone!
Another week has flown by.  Boy I wish time would slow up a bit.  Even though I will be glad when it is warmer weather.  We had 60's and 70's the last two days and now it is back in the teens and twenties this morning and not going to get much warmer.  Back to the heavy coat again.
I had my yearly exam yesterday with my GYN.  She said everything looked good.  My blood pressure was 90/60.  I guess I was good and relaxed.  They didn't seem concerned, unless I was having other symptoms.  At least it wasn't high.  I have never had high blood pressure, thankfully.
I am also sorry to hear about Laureen's Dillinger. My heart goes out to you.
Not much else going on with me.
Have a good Friday!

Mickey

I spent the evening with my M&M's while their mom attended a board meeting. Bath time was a bubbley, grandma soaking affair. A two year old and a three year old, together in a tub can sure generate a tidal wave of water. It was good clean fun. Tonight we are taking them out for dinner. They are good stress relievers for me.

One of the gals in the support group just had revision surgery. In a couple short weeks she has lost 20 pounds and is doing very well.

Another person in the group is trying to generate interest in a Summer softball team. Several women have signed up already. I will be on the side lines but don't think I am up for joining the team.

My Vet did an autopsy on Joey. She confirmed that we made the right choice to have him put to sleep. She made me feel better.

That's all for today.

Kisses

Ah, nothing like gandchild therapy to make a girl feel better. My DIL's sister just found out she's expecting her first baby. Tess has never been around anyone who is pregnant, never held a baby....so, maybe this will make her see it's not such a scary thing.  There's hope for us yet!!!

Hugs to you

Susan

Susan,
I can't imagine never being around a pregnant woman. My Dad was the oldest of 9, his sister, the youngest,  just 4 years older than me. Growing up it seemed somebody was always pregnant and there were plenty of babies to hold.

Nothing quite as good as holding a grand though!!

Hugs back

morning all...i have been awake since 3am-wide awake--and am up now to call off work--i finally broke down and scheduled a dr appt for myself- without ins this could be very interesting -and pricey-but necessary...i am too weak to do this anymore without seeking care...i also cancelled my plasma for tonite-only makes common sense...

it's 53* here and rain is due -snow tho over the weekend..uck!so much to do and no energy at all.....

nothing else new..........................
hugs and prayers

I get up every morning determined to both change the world and have one hell of a good time. Sometimes this makes planning my day difficult.

Margo, I am glad you made a dr. appt. and that you cancelled your plasma donation.  Seems like those were smart decisions to me.

Take care.

HIjack,

Hey Margo, please call me tonight and let me  know what the Dr says. You know how we worry about you!

Margo,

Glad to hear you are doing what is necessary to take care of you.  I hope it does not wind up costing you too much, many times doctors will give you a break when they hear you don't have medical insurance and they certainly won't order up tests that they know will break your bank, unless they can't get to the root of the problem any other way.  I'm hoping it is something very simple and you will be feeling better soon. . .

I got your message and that was actually what I was hoping to do if I make to the trip to Michigan, my thoughts were that I would want to stop by and see you. . .  maybe a couple of others that live out that way too. . .  we'll see how it goes, if I can afford to do it, since I now have $8k in credit card debt to pay off, as I am not sure what part of Dillinger's bill will be covered by the pet insurance I carry for him, it will be at least a month before I know anything on that front. . .

Anyway, hugs, prayer and positive thoughts!  Laureen
