Linda,
Don't even talk about taxes. We had our taxes done yesterday (and also the taxes on the family trust that we cashed out last year to pay for Mom's care) and even though I paid more in quarterly taxes in 2008, we still owe the Feds $1200 (and $695 for the family trust). I thought my husband was going to blow a gasket.
B: chai tea protein shake
S: iced skinny latte
L: maple country pork rib, maybe some edamame salad
S: yogurt
D: chick pea patty, Moroccan eggplant salad
S: chocolate protein bar

Good morning Linda and Friends!
I am so very proud of myself! Yesterday was a good food day. I was able to turn down goodies both times they were offered! At lunch, someone had a bag of Lay's potato chips (my favorite) leftover from their Mardi Gras party. Then, at our AARP meeting last night, I turned down four-layer dessert (shortbread crust with pecans, a layer of cream cheese with powdered sugar and cool whip, a layer of chocolate pudding, and a topping of cool whip), it is so good, I've made it several times over the years, and it's one of the hardest things to say "NO" to. I DID IT!!! The only change in my food plan yesterday was instead of what I posted for dinner, I made an omelette with egg, mushrooms, and cheese. I do believe yesterday made me stronger for today. This morning someone brought something that looks like bread pudding with fruit ****tail in it. She called it a pudding cake. It can stay in the kitchen and rot!
B - yogurt and banana
S - protein shake
L - tuna, 2 wheat crackers, green beans, and maybe a few grapes
D - Being honest - I have no idea! I have food cooked in the frig, but I don't want any of it. What I really want is BEEF. I swear, if there were a cow standing in front of me I'd tear into it! I am craving beef. May stop at the store this evening and buy a steak. Both grocery stores that I pass have steak on sale.
S - protein shake or bar
Here's to eating healthy!

You always make me smile, Linda!
Today was a tough food day. Too many hours at work, too many meetings. I didn't prepare for that, and didn't bring the right food with me.
Breakfast - string cheese stick. In the car. 6:30 am
Lunch - vegetable soup. Homemade. At my desk.
Snack - apple
Needless to say, I am STARVING, so I need to find some protein soon or I'll be making some VERY bad choices.
