What's New Thursday?

Holy Cow Val! You're on the wet side as in rain! 12 inches of snow! Hopefully it will warm up and go away soon. I am so ready for spring.

I thought spring was here yesterday when I went to get the mail and saw the crocuses where blooming and the daffodils were above ground.  It started snowing around 2 pm yesterday.  This morning it is clear with blue sky.  I can see the mtn peaks.

Good Morning, All

Well, at least it's warm. Visiting my kids, and it's supposedto get to 70 today.  I had plans to play outside with my grandson, but he ended up going to daycare, so here I sit.  Thought I'd catch up on the board, then relax, read a bit, and make a healthy dinner.  My day won't be exciting, but I can use the rest.  And I was all set to play cars all day.....

I've been working a lot lately, a couple of doubles a week. Trying to bulk up the income for the last year or so, which in turn helps to increase my pension payout.  But I'm tired, and the long weekend off will do me good.  My niece is coming from Memphis tomorrow, and we have a day of shopping and playing planned.  I'm sure the weekend with my kids and grandson will be fun.   

Gonna go curl up with a good book.  It may be warm, but it's raining. Maybe a short walk if it clears up.

Laureen, so sad to hear about Dillinger.  Those 4 legged children do curl up in our hearts, don't they?  All we can do is love them while we can.

Good morning Eileen and Everyone!

Eileen, that is good news about your PT.

One coworker is busy *****ing about how much work she has to do.  She's hinting for me to take some of it.  Heck no, I won't.  She's been here over an hour and has just poured her third cup of coffee.  This is the one who won't help answer the phone, leaves the copy machine jammed, and has no consideration for anyone else.  I fully understand she's not one of us in that she is employeed by another facility that is using some of our lab and office space, but if she expects us to help her with her work, she certainly could answer the phone on occasion.  If she can drink coffee for the last hour, I can log on and check with my friends.

Tomorrow is the big day - George has his angiogram.  We're still waiting for a time.  He insists that I don't have to be at the hospital the entire day with him.  He says I should stay for the procedure, but after he is in recovery and has to remain still for 8 or more hours I should leave to run errands or go to work.  There's no reason for me to be at the hospital all day.  Yeah, right.  Like I'm going to leave him any longer than to get lunch or go to the bathroom.

Sending positive healing vibes George's way. Sounds like you have an "office princess in waiting" training to replace the one you left behind. You sure she just isn't made up differently?

Thanks Karen.  Yep, she's different.  She earned the nickname "Sunshine" because of her attitude.

Hope all goes well for George, Debbie. You two are in my thoughts.

Good Morning everyone.  It's snowing here again and I just heard on the local radio station that they have advised no travel at all in southern North Dakota.  Snow plows have had to pull off because of poor visibilty.  We have sooooo much of the white fluffy stuff and it is getting OLD real quick!!  Went to Ash Wednesday services at church last night and it was snowing like crazy when we came out afterthe services.  I made a large pot of chili yesterday and have been thinking about what I can cook today to stash away in the freezer for future use.

Good Morning My dear OFFr's,

I am at work today, it was hard to leave home, but  I made arrangements for someone to look in on him today, as it is my first day back to work since last Friday and I have asked my employers to please allow me a little bit of freedom to make sure that Dillinger is never left alone for more than a normal 8 hour period, until such time as I can resume my full work schedule, so perhaps this economy is a blessing for the moment, as I don't believe my leaving 1.5 hours earlier a day or two a week will make a whole hill beans difference to anyone.  Anyway, I do appreciate all the kind support from all of you at this very sad time for me, I am trying to find gratitude in that I got to bring my boy home and saw a spark of the dog he had been up until last week and pray that I get some more days like yesterday before the end comes.

To talk about something happy in my life, my son returns home on Saturday and he and his family will be going back into their home when he returns, as my DIL has been living in her parents home and I know my son cannot wait to be in his house.  It will be wonderful to have some of my family nearby again. . .

Well I hope wherever you are, that you are experiencing some of the warmer weather that is supposed to be here, albeit briefly, please Spring arrive, I've had enough of the cold. . .
