Need prayers
Hi Gang,
I need prayers, I know God is listening.
My nephew is a drug addicted on herion, only 20 years old and he's just started to hit rock bottom. I know it's his choice. His mom who's my ex sister in law is wonderful mom and person. She's my sister. Now my brother is a whole other story.
Mom was so stressed out I took her for a long walk and she talked the whole time. I know her heart is breaking. All I could do is listen and tell her tough love is just that...tough.
Nephew has gone through his mom's side of the family and they are no longer enabling him. Now he's working on my side of the "family" (who I don't see, they are dyfunctional and it's not good for me to be around any of them, I haven't seen my brothers and sister in over 3 years)
Thanks for your prayers. I hope and pray this boy will get his life back on track soon.

Thanks Connie. Yes, he is totally messing up his body and brain cells.
His father (my brother) also got messed up on drugs when he was 18, I had to take him in the psych. ward because the devil was talking to him through the TV. When I was younger I was the parent in the family. My mom tried her best but she had the tendency to put her head under the rug to make "everything go away".
God bless my mom, I loved her so much and I was glad I was with her at life's end. She died at 59 yrs. old from cancer of the esphogus and my dad died at age 52 a "recovering alcholoic", so I'm so aware of "transfer addictions" and having a whole family of addicts of some sort. I chose food...now after WLS it's exercise!

Having experienced addictions first hand and being on the recovery side of things for the last 21+ years now, my prayers are for him to find the way up, there is life after drugs and/or alcohol or whatever addiction a person is experiencing and it is a good life!
