Hello, I am new to this forum..I have been reading it for a few weeks...I am 52 years old with 4 children, (3 girls-36, 33,28 & 1 son-25) 4 grandchildren (3 boys- 14,10,3 & 1 girl 5 (shes a diva). I am having Lap Band surgery on March 16th..I attend The Weightloss Center of Harrisburg, Pa.w/ Dr. DiMarco. He also has an office in Haggarstown, Maryland. I got the call yesterday. I see alot of your postings on some of the other forums. I enjoy reading all the responses and stories on all the forums..I have learned alot from the veterans here on the OH boards...I look forward to sharing my experience...."Lucky"

Welcome! I'm relatively new myself. Good luck with your surgery. It won't be long now, you'll be nice and fit for the summer - woo hoo! I don't live too far from Harrisburg, probably 35-40 minutes south, near York.

I'm just beginning the journey, so it's probably going to be at least 7 months or so for me. There are so many nice people here. Please keep in touch and let us know your progress.

Thanks for the warm welcome...I really enjoy reading all of the boards..and the responses are fantastic. I don't think that I would have learned so much if it weren't for you...This is such a great place to learn, meet and have great friends...I wish everyone who is having any type of weightloss surgery could enjoy this as much as I have... I look forward to chatting with all of you...I am sure I will still have alot of questions.....Right now I am just letting the whole thing absorb. Trying to make a list of things to take to the hospital and things that I might need on hand...What a journey this is going to be...Thanks again.....'Lucky"
