TGIF!!! What's New
Good Morning Laureen and Friends!
It's much cooler than yesterday. This morning it is in the low 40s, yesterday was the 50s. I'm freezing here in the office even with thermal undies on. As of yesterday, the other front office girl and I started wearing scrubs to work. They are neat looking and comfortable, but not very warm compared to jeans and t-shirts. We have a different color for each day of the week. So no more wondering what to wear.
George is not doing well. His energy level is in the toilet and he's catching a cold. We hope this doesn't delay the angiogram scheduled for next week.
Our daughter, SIL, and Gabe's visit this weekend should cheer him up.
Back to work! Have a wonderful weekend,
Debbie

Hi All,
Linda it is so nice to see you posting.
Well I am back from my road tripping. I drove to see my scrapbooking friend in Lake City
Florida. It is 20 miles from the Georgia line and it sure was cold there. 29 this morning and frost on my car.
We had never met and we had a blast. Stayed up till 2 in the morning each night I was there for 2 nights.
tomorrow morning Carl and I are driving down to Sunrise to visit with our friends overnight.
9 more days and I fly to Denver for a week. I am so excited.
Laureen I am so glad Dillinger is doing better.
It is about 61 right now and I am freezing.
well same ole same ole.

TGIF..and payday to boot, I am a few hours short this payday, darn. Guess I will keep driving at 50 MPH to save gas. No b-days or births or showers etc schedued this next month so maybe I can get a little caught up. I am so glad to see your Dill is looking up, that had to be a wonderful sight for you to walk in and see him sitting up. We are suppose to have a nice 40+ degree day but with a hard hour of snow tonight. I have a pretty relaxing weekend in front of me and I am so looking forward to it, I have a slew of movies to watch, but my house needs to be attended to big time. Hmmm which will win. Tomorrow night my 6 yr old gson, Zach and I will be going to a legion dinner. When we come home we will start reading The Bobbsey Twins at the Lighthouse. I agree this has been a long winter, but I feel bad as ours hasn't even been bad...YET. March is so very sneeky. My poor new boss, it takes weeks around here to get your passwords, clearance, E-mail. All she can do is sit and read procedure books. Just got some records on a child who has a cronic contagious infection..and she is in one of our daycares our handy dandy nurse is feeling a bit stiffled. Time for me to go home..Have a blessed Friday and weekend

Jean, My favorite book at about age 7 was the Box Car Children. At that time the series was just starting. My son and I read the entire series and then he read them when he learned to read. I am sure Zach would love these stories. The little brother, Benny, I believe learns all kinds of wonderful things. Have you read any of these? If not I'm sure you'll enjoy them too. The kids run away afraid of the awful things they've heard about their Grandpa. Of course it turns out good in the end but along they way they live in an abandoned box car in the woods and learn to totally take care of themselves. I may go dig out my copy and read it again!! Gertrude Chandler Warner is the author and I'm sure they are still in most any library.

I get up every morning determined to both change the world and have one hell of a good time. Sometimes this makes planning my day difficult.

I had no idea that the Boxcar Children had been around when we were kids, I do remember my kids reading them.Tonight I read Zach his first 2 chapters tonight of The Bobbsey Twins and he is hooked. Not sure I can wait until next week to continue so I told him if he wanted to call me during the week I would read to him over the phone..
