I must have gotten an injection of some kind of energy today or yesterday. I cleaned out my car and started on the other car we own. My new white car looks so pretty. I took 4 bags of garbage out, washed the windows inside and out. hosed down the mats vacummened it and finallaly washed the outside. It must have taken me all afternoon.
I went to get some lab work done and on the way home I decided that today was the day the car was going to get a bath!!!!!!
I am leaving for a road trip 220 miles from here to see my other internet friend from my Jewsih scrapboooking group. We have been talking off and on for about 3 years and I decided that since we live so close it was time to meet. She has 7 kids so it was easier for me to go to her than she come to me. So off I go.
Saturday I have training for being a judge for Odysy of the Mind. they want a cosmetologist as a judge so my cousin appointed me. that is in the morning then we are driving down to Ft lauderdale area to visit with another friend overnight.
I hope with this injection of energy I wont be over doing it.
So talk on everyone and Ill check in later.

Good morning Carla and the rest of ya.

Carla, you are a busy woman.  But, just keep on keepin' on.

Been doing some more fantasy baseball work tonight, so I guess I really should do my real work before my shift ends.

Supposed to get up to 73 or so today in Dallas, then then next five days it will get cooler again.  This weather just can not make up it's mind.

GOD BLESS AMERICA!!!!!

Laureen - I am posting this here because I did not want to bump the Tuesday thread back up.

Another phrase my family uses is "all of yuz".

They sure get a kick out of talking to this NY guy who has lived in Texas for over 20 years now.  So funny though, the Texans get a kick out of listening to me too.  George - the accent without a home.

yup, people in SNJ and Phillie love my accent too, in the meantime, my kids, who lived a portion of their lives in Florida, though the early formative years were spent in NY and therefore, they don't have southern twangs, live to kid me, as it seems I tend to add r's where they don't belong, such as my daughter, Angela's name (lol). . .  I like to tell 'em that Boston loses their r's and New Yorker's use 'em since they've fallen down the coast. . .

Hugs, Laureen

Pat,

This does get harder as we are farther out. Can you go back to basics for a bit? I have had some troubles lately and have considered trying protein shakes again.

Don't get discouraged. We will do our best to help you.

MMMMM, I understand!! After I lost the 17 lbs last year and the doctor said to put some weight back on, I have developed a good sized muffin top. I hate it and hate it. We are all walking on the same path and my prayers and support are with you Pat. I am trying to go back to basics, but it is hard.
Please be good to you, Monica......I am working on being good to me.

Pat:

Hang in there! I know it's tough. Do you do any weight training? That might help. When I was stuck at 200 pounds and trying to get under, I went back to using MMPC (now Grand Valley Partners) protein supplements twice a day, eating a regular meal once a day ... it helped me get back on track. Kind of like doing protein drinks but a little better. I did a protein shake for breakfast, a regular meal for lunch (because I work nights), then I took their chili or soup or spaghetti for dinner; I used their bars and other snacks for my snacks. It helped break my stall and get under 200 pounds, and I've never looked back. I did that for two weeks. Just a thought. I know a lot of people don't like those supplements, but I didn't think they were all that bad.

Good luck.

Pat,

This surgery does not cure all that ails us, the head stuff and the emotional eating habits can and do creep back in, but you CAN get back on track.  I have faith in you and you asked for help, now just make the right choices, one at a time. . .  perhaps try the 5-day pouch test to reconnect yourself with the basics. . .

Wishing you the best, hugs, Laureen
