Hello, Carla and family!

Carla..so good to hear how well you are doing *hugs*.

Tuesday will be a "fun" day for me...I'm having a ROOT CANAL done at 1:30 pm. Now I will tell you that I'd rather have a Pap test or get my fingernails ripped out one by one than have dental work.  Apparently there's a huge abcess at the very bottom of the root..oh joy!  So they started me on antibiotics already and will clean the whole thing out..what fun!

Now, being the weenie that I am about dental work, I have elected to be sedated.  Yes, I confess.  JB will drive me there at 12:30 and I then take the pills there and then sleep on the couch in the waiting room, covered by a blanket, (sheesh..I hope I don't snore too loud), they say, until I am sufficently numb *s*..woohoo!

JB will return around 3:30 and take me home.  Knowing my history of reaction to sedation, I will most likely sleep all of Tuesday away and part of (or most) of Wednesday.   JB says I'm a wimp since he had his done fully awake.  pffftt!! Let him be a hero....sedate me, I say!!  Knock me out good! I'm a wimp and a weenie and proud of it!

So when you enjoy your day, think about me ... the indignity of snoring in the dentist's waiting room like the patient I saw last week there when I went for my consult....quite frankly, I personally feel proud of my willingness (grudging that it is) to even BE there.

I still say you can't beat a bottle of Bailey's Irish Cream and a straw but the dentist said a very emphatic NO!  sheesh!..darn!

Good morning Carla and the rest of y'all (or in Marcia and Laureen's case "yous guys").

It's a wonderful day in the neighborhood.  Time has been going by rather quickly tonight.  So, as soon as I am done here, I will read my Bible verses.  Still on track.

Received a report from Eddie's baseball coach.  Said he i****ting the ball much harder this year.  That's good news.  Can't wait for the season to start.

Got my Rangers Opening Day tickets in the mail the other day.  That made my day.

Well, have a good one.

GOD BLESS AMERICA!!!!!

Hey George,

I will tell you this funny story on that. . .

my older daughter, who lived with her dad in Florida for a part of her life, came to live with me when she was 15, well, one day she says to me, I will never use that expression, I was like what expression, she said, that yous guys expression you are always saying. . .  fast forward 6 months later, I hear her on the telephone one day talking to a friend she made in HS, well there she is using the famous "yous guys" expression, boy did I have fun razzing her about that one, of course, she was like, I DID NOT say that, lol. . .

Yup, baseball season is coming, yay!!!  Let's Go M E T S!!!

Hugs, Laureen

Here in Washington state it's just "you guys." I love regional dialects; one of those things that makes life interesting. Years ago, going through the subway in London, I could not even begin to understand English (the King's English that is) as it was being spoken to me. It was like I was in a non English speaking land!

Good morning Carla & all,

The furnace man will be here AGAIN for another adjustment to the outside sensor. The mechanics of the contraption totally baffle me and apparently ... them too.

I haven't had much fun with my younger client. She came close to clobbering me last week. It is a challenge to take her out and stay alert for confrontations. Tomorrow morning we are having a team meeting to try and resolve the issues.

Last night we had two brand new support group people. "Newbies" are full of enthusiasm, anticipation and dread. By asking questions and talking to the group memebrs they seem to relax. One question they frequently ask me is ' have you had plastics?' Guess my clothes hide a multitude of wrinkles.

Good Morning Carla, and the rest of "yous guys"

Well I had a very busy weekend with my sister from another mother and it continues for one more day, as I decided to take today off and we are going to finish painting the trim for the crown molding, so that the contractor can get done with the interior work and I can get the inspector in to give me the COO and move onto phase 2, which will be the bathroom project ;)

We did get a lot accomplished, part of which was to buy the furniture for the new sunroom, after going to 8 furniture stores, I settled on a nice recliner sofa in a rich brown microfiber which will look really nice in that room, also bought an electric fireplace which I have had my heart set on forever, it was on sale, got both pieces, with tax and delivery for under 1500.  2nd coat of paint in my new bedroom and some of trim pieces done.

A funny story to share, my DIL calls me on Sunday to tell me she has a story she is sure I will love. . .  seems the kids were missing daddy, so she put on their wedding video for them (and her) and she says that there I was and Vaughn said, Mommie, who is that dancing with Daddy, she says, it's Grandma Burr, he said to her, no, that's not Grandma Burr, she said, yes Vaughn it is and he said, Mommie, that IS NOT MY GRANDMA BURR, that lady does not look like her. . .that is one of the stories that will forever bring a smile to my face.

Well I'd better get off of this here computer and get busy with why I stayed home for in the first place. . .

Hope you all have a wonderful day!

Prayers, positive thoughts and hugs, Laureen

Mornin' ya'll.  It's Tuesday and lovely here.  Yesterday I bought a new pair of pants - size 12!!!  Hooray!  I won't buy any more for awhile.  I'm too cheap.  I'll wait for my daughter to get tired of some of hers and send them to me!  I just went to try on and see where I was, and was surprised they actually fit, so I had to buy 'em.

I also bought a new bra and wore it all day yesterday.  The side comes up higher than my old ones and I now have a red, sore place under my arms.  I wish I had some way to tuck in all the 'stuff' that hangs over sides!  Plastics are at the top of my 'when I win the lottery' list!  Men have it sooo easy!

I leave Thursday for a week in TX visiting my Momma.  Next 2 days will be spent, cleaning, being sure all clothes and dishes are clean, all trash is out, my DH has enough groceries, slicing and chopping up onions for his tuna and stuff, etc.  His fine motor skills are very lacking due to an accident he had years ago, and the delay in surgery.  He also doesn't drive.

Everyone have a fantabulous day!

Well, you are just tooooo funny, hahaha.  So, anyways, I don't usually post on this, but I will try.
Today will be busy for me, typing and answering phones for my DH's company.  I will of course, take some time for me, a walk around the lake and I hope (since the weather is beautiful) to get some time in riding my bicycle.  So, just more of the usual for me.
Carla, I enjoyed talking again last night, you are so much fun.
Everyone....big hugs to all and have a wonderful day!

Hi Carla & all. Well today will be interesting. I get to drive my DH big dodge quad cab truck to Grand Rapids. It's about 2 hrs. away.
You may not think it's a big deat, but I have only driven it 2 miles before. I will be alone except for my 2 puppies. On the way home I will have my new puppy too!
Hopefully I will be home tomorrow. It depends on the weather. We are supposed to get a snow storm tomorrow.
My DH is in florida & the back wheels on my van won't turn!
I will get that into the shop when I get home. Hope you all have a fun day, I will!!
