What's New - SUNDAY?
I just got back from a vacation with my new man. I hit my goal weight of 145 the day we left on the trip. YAY! Only complaint I have is that I had to come home (it's cold here)! haha 
I had an awesome Valentines Day!!
Dwayne promised me Burger King but really took me to my favorite restaurant "Anton's". It is the nicest restaurant in town. He had made reservations months ago. We had a very beautiful and romantic dinner. I got flowers, candy, and two wonderful cards. He even got me sugar free Valentines candy in a beautiful box. Then we went dancing. Came home to beautiful lingerie ...wooohooo......I am so lucky!!!
Today we will be meeting up with friends to watch the Daytona 500. Should be a fun time.

It is so nice to start my day in here with you all. I just put three loads of laundry in, made a fresh pot of Kona coffee, and did some catching up on reading posts. It is such a treat to get little mini movies of each of your lives. Karen, I imagine you are LOVING entertaining in your beautiful new home. Nancy, that's a bummer about phone lines. I imagine you use cell phones a lot. Other Nancy..so sorry about you stomach flu. I have a feeling WLS will be a piece of cake after that!!
It's going to be one of those not-a-cloud-in-the-sky mornings here. So far, just getting light and it's breezy and a *****illy. By chilly, I mean maybe 65!! Burrrrrrrrrrrrr........I know, I know....I'm getting mental "thwacks" from those of you in the cold places....sorry...I really wish I could wiggle my nose and have you join me on my lanai for coffee and chat.
Yesterday I tested newborn babies' hearing at the hospital. I only had seven yesterday, but last week there were about 80 babies born!! Maui is booming!! In some ways I think people are crazy to bring babies into this crazy mixed up world, but in another way, I feel the optimism that must be deep inside that all will eventually turn out OK. I tend to be the ostrich with it's head in the sand rather than the optimist, so I just keep going with the flow and hoping that life has some sane direction that we humans can't mess up too much more.
My weight keeps sliding down below where I want it to be...this morning 153 and last night I ate what seemed like a LOT. I had a beautiful steak with a pile of mushrooms sauteed in Smartbeat butter, garlic, etc. Also had asparagus and later a skinny cow ice cream bar, an apple and some soy crisps. Weight still slides down. Like I've said before, I think my surgeon plumbed me for everything to go right on through, no stopping to hang onto these bones! Maybe I should get some super glue and just put the food on the outside.....LOL.
Laundry needs tending........off I go. I hope you all have a great Sunday. Breath deeply and live life fully.....it is so short.

OK, yesterday I took the plunge and got on Facebook. I also got on the local Freecyle chapter. So far, nothing on Freecyle (the only post was someone wanting a sewing machine ... don't have that). I will have to do some cleaning to get rid of some stuff. I know I have some. Doesn't everyone?
Didn't get around to making the almond cookies ... maybe today. I did make a big bunch of turkey roll-ups, so that's in the fridge for healthy snacking. Yumm, they're good. It helped having the stool in the kitchen so I didn't have to stand to make them.
Didn't do much yesterday at all. Tummy was bothering me part of the day; today, it was OK for awhile but it started up again. I'm hungry but don't know what will sit well. I had some chili that fell out of the freezer the other day that I have to eat soon but don't think that's a good idea now. Maybe tomorrow ... or later tonight, if I feel better.
Talked yesterday to my brother Gary and friends Mary Kay and Roxane ... so I was on the phone a lot. I was going to watch a movie, but with all that talking, didn't really get around to it. I did watch the first part of "XIII," the miniseries that was on last Sunday that I had DVR'd ... it was pretty good; I have it scheduled to record tonight too.
Well, I need to get my laundry into the dryer and put in another load. Really feeling lazy today (I was yesterday too ... but I did manage to do some exercise ... could those subliminal message be having an impact?)

Timing is everything. I bought my Aerobed and gave my old mattress to my son and his wife.. they were needing one and think it sleeps great. I needed firm. Anyway, today's paper has SleepNumbers for $599.99 for a Queen. They don't make a full-size so it's okay that I got what I got. My oldest son, however, is going to go check them out tomorrow. I'm a little worried about him. He has brochitis and hasn't gotten to the coughing side yet. He's staying in for the duration of his President's Day holiday.
I, on the other hand, will be hitting the stores. I bought a really cute purse today that I just know will be a hit with the gals at $4. I like it, too...:)
Nothing really going on. Started the day at $4, went to brunch and had migas, then to $4 and then to Lava Grill for a cup of Miso soup and ONE sushi roll, then to Marshall's for my purse, then to the nail salon where they had the door open and I caught one heckofachill, so went back to $4 for HOT coffee, came home, put on my pajamas (6:00) and climbed on the couch...with a remote control... so it's 9:30 and I'm now awake...and forgot to mention the two bananas, 2 peaches, and bowl of cereal I've also stuffed my face with..oh..and the cheese sandwich... someone shoot me now!!
Everyone get some sleep.
