Swollen legs down

Just overnight, I am down 4 pounds ... the legs are less swollen. Don't know what caused this. I wish PCP could come up with a reason. This seems to happen a lot since I had my original knee surgery (I know of no other knee replacement folks that have this problem, only me). Last time, PT put me in compression booties for two weeks to get the fluid down (then PCP gave me diuretics and that got the 18 pounds of fluid out ... that was after giving me the lecture about weight gain ... like I need that!)

Hi Eileen,

Earl has trouble with swelling in both legs, of course he has had both knees and both hips replaced.  His hips were done first and he has had swelling in the legs since then. He takes 25 mg water pill every day to control the swelling.

Eileen, I would be telling the PCP to do some tests. I know that there is a blood test to see if there is CHF. I would suggest that someone take that one. I am wondering if there isn't a heart disorder there somewhere. I don't mean to worry you or anything but I would have it checked out. At least if it turns out nothing you know that. Sending love and prayers your way that you get answers from someone.

Eileen, I'm sorry to hear you're having trouble after this second attemp at knee replacement.  Hope things improve soon.
